Not my gear (wish it were though), my good friend's home audiophile and HT rojak setup. Not really rojak as the AV receiver is hooked up to his BR player while his audiophile gear is strictly for his Esoteric CD player and Lumin music streamer......awesome stuff! Blew me away sia! Oh yeah, posted this on the wrong thread, deleted it there and posted this here.

Here's an overview of his audio setup, he'd had to compromised the position of the speakers because he'd wanted to incorporate together with his AV setup.

A shot of the great lookin' speakers....the little black speaker on top is part of his Dolby ATMOS AV setup (so ignore it). The speakers are unknown to me, but checking the back of it, I see it's a YG Acoutics Anat Reference II speaker......never heard of it!

Of course, with high end speakers like these, you CANNOT just use cables that cost a few hundred, no sirree! The cables look great, by Nordost.

A breakdown of his gear, first the pre-amp and power amp by Accuphase....

The pic below is of his power distributor and a high end Esoteric CD player.

His old music streamer, a Sonos, which has been replaced by a Lumin DSD capable music streamer...

The first shot was when his system hadn't been powered up, nice lookin' gear when you're seated right in front of it listening to some great music....became an instant fan of Cat Steven's Father And Son.

BTW, also got pic of his headphones, the first and second pics include his Sennheiser Momentum BT.

Very impressive and nice speakers. But I felt that it is a bit wasteful that the small speakers are placed on top of the YG Acoustics. It will definitely impact the sound negatively.

Viewing distance

Your projector screen size and sitting viewing distance from projector screen?

Projector distance from Screen is 3.2m
Viewing distance from screen is 2.7m
Projector image is 80" for ratio 2:39 image.

Quite comfortable for me and the kids viewing eyes and neck.

Dear all ,

Pardon me as I am a total novice and urgently need help

I recently bought a pair of Mission SX2 & the centre SXC1 but no Sub.

I am now hoping to buy either Klipsch KSW 10 or SVS SB 1000... which one should I go for ? Would the SVS over power my Mission ?

My Amp is Marantz 5011.

Setup in my new BTO 4 room living.

I would be most grateful for kind help and advice !

Regards
Sean

My set up. When I call for movie mode, curtains close, projector and apple TV switches on, projector screen comes down and the ceiling speaker switches on.

Wow, that's nice! and very neat :). But I'm wondering if you followed specific measurements in setting up your projector for good visual. Honestly, I'm planning to setup like this one. So, I made some quick researching and I got an article from this good site about projector distance. But sad to say, I'm not able to post it here.

I realized that proper distance setup could really be a big factor to attain good visualization. (and the speakers too!)
