Yamanashi prefecture is where Mt Fuji locates.
Gunman prefecture is less popular to foreigners though, but I like the woods.
Tochigi prefecture is where Nikko and Karuizawa locates, they are famous of koyo.
Me too feel that the schedule is a too early, my niece booked the ticket without my knowledge....likely go there to see yellow yoko instead of red koyo, sigh~~~

I lived in Japan during the 80's and only revisit twice in the 90's, 2017 Antrum and planning to visit my old school mates in Tokyo this year.

I have visited 46 out of 47 prefectures during the old days, the only place I never visit is Okinawa prefecture. Probably visiting soon by taking a cruise there.
