Really have to create an account just to shoot SingTel on this GOMO plan.

Yesterday I applied for GOMO, and schedule next week delivery. Then they started charging me on the day itself :)
meaning that I'm paying for nothing for one whole week while waiting for delivery and porting. Nowadays money so easy to be earned, right?

Nothing is posted on GOMO website on this, yet they allow people to just schedule delivery like weeks in advance so that they can cheat more money.

It's not a big amount of money, but it reflects REALLY BADLY on Singtel's value and policy. When I asked for a refund, the customer service just said NO to me and tell me how should I be grateful for the free SIM card because it's out of their goodwill. Woah seh, I need to write a thank-you note to Singtel already.

Will boycott Singtel (and whatever crap service they gonna release) forever ever and ever. :s22:

Singtel has all along been crap. Overpriced mobile and broadband plans. And most importantly they spoil the market for the EPL rights. Will never ever consider them for anything.

Today I noticed they deleted my FB comment on their post, alongside with other victims (which has gotten 10+ likes, becoming the top comment) that fell into the scam. Now I see clearly how they run the business.

I agree. Very poor decision by management to start charging immediately instead of charging from the activation date. Management who approved this should be sacked or demoted.

Starts on the day you signed up. Not upon delivery nor activation.

Your Visa or MasterCard credit card is immediately charged $20.

Smelly.

Exactly. You would expect better from sinktel. Others and myself have already feedback to them. Let's see if they do the right thing.

I just received my SIM card today. VERY disappointed.

Put the SIM card in my phone.. no signal. I'm porting over from Singtel.

According to the FAQ, it says "Keeping a Singtel number? Simply pop your SIM in! It'll automatically be activated within the hour".

I tried contacting the online support, which is the ONLY get to get through to anyone for help. Got the message to say they're busy, try again. The online chat system doesn't even allow me to be on hold. By the way, the chat doesn't work on Chrome browser on a mac.

Finally managed to chat with support after many tries. Guess what they said? Due to "overwhelming" demand, it will take 1 to 3 days to port over, even for Singtel numbers.

You'd think if this were so, they would at least put the announcement on their website so that everyone would know without having to try and get through to their lousy chat support.

This means including the 3 days I had to wait for delivery, I'd have paid for a week's service without being able to use it.

try restarting your phone or re inserting the sim card. i got it and waited for hrs, once restarted i could see the signal already. will bring it out to test for dead spot
