Tap the top left corner on the home page, u can see, Transport card.
Tap on it and u add whichever card u want for your transportation

True... Even now u buy few cents stuff now u get points..

But everytime have to maintain 30 purchases per mth in order to retain my gold level, that's about 1 transaction per day.

Samsung pay app now allows tap and go. Just set the transport card, set the default nfc method to android OS, default payment set to Samsung pay and you are good to go.

No need to authenticate like apply pay.

So once we linked a Mastercard can just tap with the phone without waking it up or unlocking it?

Should work like NFC Ezlink SIM same ..if security is a concern perhaps not use it
