as transactions made at petrol kiosks. This does not include transactions with descriptions
containing “Ez Link”, “Transit” and “Transitlink”

Hi all, sorry if this has been discussed before.
My SCB unlimited has an EZ-Link function. So when I tap it, it says low value - of cos since I didn’t top up the ezlink wallet there. So how do I get the bus/mrt terminal to recognize I want to use the CC function to tap instead?

I think it is better to replace your SCB unlimited card with ICBC global travel mastercard, you get the same 1.5% rebate on local spend, but for overseas spend you will gain a net of 0.5% with the ICBC global travel mastercard, whereas you will lose a net of 0.5% with the SCB unlimited card.

The only SCB cards I have kept are the Spree & Manhattan cards.

Totally agree. I’ve been using Icbc for 3% on FCY spend. Conveniently forgot that local gets 1.5%, which is same as scb unlimited. I should cancel it soon..but wanna make use if scb $10 free rides on ABT first!

The ICBC app really sucks. So I only use it overseas so I don't need to track all my transactions on ICBC. Local I will still use SCB unlimited.

I transfer from MRT to bus... it shows the breakdown of each journey and its separate fares after rebates.

The good thing about SimplyGo app is I use it to check the time I start the journey to see if I still can make it within 2 hr for the transfer rebate

WHAT ARE THE TRANSFER CONDITIONS?

A transfer can be from:

- the MRT/LRT to a bus service;
- the MRT/LRT to another MRT/LRT;
- a bus service to another bus service; or
- a bus service to the MRT/LRT.

Under Distance Fares, the rules are:

- All journeys must be within 2 hours of the first boarding (on the same journey).
- Maximum of 5 transfers can be made within a journey.
- Multiple rail transfers allowed with no additional boarding charges.
- 45 minutes for transfers between rail station and bus service, or between different bus services.
- 15 minutes for transfers between different rail stations.
- Current bus service must not be the same number as the preceding bus service.
- No exit and re-entry at the same station.

you need to disable the cepas function at the gtm machine

To be specific, switch to bank mode. Cepas function not disable, can be used for non-transport.

Just FYI, there is a $120 cash back promo running for the ICBC Chinese Zodiac sign card. So, if you dont have an ICBC card yet, you can consider applying for this card & the global travel mastercard.

It is a shame that POSB everyday card doesnt have any special rebates for simplygo and no promo either. Pretty useless card, now that SP services allows other cards also for paying bills via app. I had applied for this card for the gobear vouchers promo, I guess time to cancel it.
