Dun know which clause you referring to. The one about "additional" 10 free rides for new Samsung Pay user?

This on web:
110 Free Rides: Valid from 4 Apr to 31 May 19 for new SimplyGo users and calculated as a 20% rebate on the train/bus fares incurred in the month, capped at S$15 rebate based on an average train/bus fare of S$1.50. Click here for full terms and conditions.

And this in T&C:
(iv)have notmade any Eligible Transaction on any UOB Cards before the PromotionPeriod.

“Eligible Transaction”: (i) means any SimplyGo Mastercard contactless transactions for payment of local public train and bus rides in Singapore which is successfullycharged to the Eligible Cardor via ApplePay Fitbit Pay and/or SamsungPay, captured and posted in UOB’s systems; (ii) does not include cash advances, balance transfers, funds transfers, annualfees, interest charges, late charges and fees, any amount brought forward from the last statement and any voided/cancelled/disputed/reversed transactions for any reason; and (iii) includes or excludes any other transactions as UOB may in its absolute discretion decide,

Correct me if i misunderstanding on any.

Simplygo is brand new, no way to make simplygo transaction before promotion period (unless there was trial which I think not relevant to most people)

SimplyGo is rename from last time ABT mastercard pilot program (Account-based ticketing)2017 as the same card still in the system and login same too. So not sure about the T&C in uob cards. Don't want to use it now then later not getting any free rides by 31st july which is a long wait.

Not just rename, simplygo no need to register card, ABT need to

CIMB Plantitium master confirm can get 10% rebate.

Transport and Petrol spending shall include all local and overseas transactions made in
transportations in the form of bus, train, private hires, taxicabs and limousines, ferries as well
as transactions made at petrol kiosks. This does not include transactions with descriptions
containing “Ez Link”, “Transit” and “Transitlink”

Stamp and chop. I have been getting it for past few mths. It used to be called ABT. Description shown on CC statement is "Bus/MRT".

oooo in short when u use mastercard on bus and mrt is called bus/mrt now?

Thanks! I just did it in like 3 seconds. The moment u put your cc on the GTM, straight away the screen asks if u want to switch to bank mode, then just click Yes

To be specific, switch to bank mode. Cepas function not disable, can be used for non-transport.

For those who are still deciding if they want to switch, I encourage you to give it a try during this promotion period.

If you are not comfortable, have a spare CEPAS enabled EZlink or NetsFP as a standby.

I personally has used ABT (now SimplyGo) for more than 1.5 years and I think it is a seamless system.

Only 2 minor complains :

1. When you tap in/out, there is still no indication of your fare at the readers, and you need the app to keep track. For people like me who use smart phone data sparingly, I rely on my watch to keep track of my entry/exit timings to ensure I make transfers within the stipulated timings

2. The so-called situation whereby you can make 1024 wireless transactions before the card dies on you. I believed this is an arbitrary limit that was set for security considerations. Hope that with SimplyGo, they do something about this, maybe by not counting the tap in/out on public transport from the 1024 transactions.

Probably will charge you maximum fare and you will have to submit claim.

The app is really good. You can also receive notification after every journey to see the transacted amount. Data usage should be quite low bah..

The 1024 limit is quite dumb tbh. Hope they lift the limit - otherwise going to inconvenient users down the road. Even if one takes just 2 journeys a day (eg. to/fro work with direct bus or mrt) the card will stop working in around 1.5 years.

I realised ever since SimplyGo started this month, the update to the trips done on the website is now almost immediate. This was unlike previous times when it was updated only daily.

Yes you still need to go ticket counter to refund the ezlink balance.

Hopefully they can display the estimated fare directly when tapping out in the future.

I have a POSB MasterCard in my Apple wallet. Let say I put the physical SCB MasterCard inside my phone case and tap on mrt/bus .. what will happen?

You’ll get the option to choose which card you’ll like to make default between the two.

I mean I don’t put the SCb card in the Apple wallet. Instead I put the card inside the phone case. Currently I put my ezlink card In the phone case and tap .... Apple Pay will pop up but I just ignore . So the trip will deduct from my ezlink card.

Yes you still need to go ticket counter to refund the ezlink balance.

Do they refund you cash on the spot for ezlink balance? Any limit? Eg if my ezlink just auto topped up has $40+, any issue? And is the ezlink purse still valid after refund?
