i be collecting my car soon.. the mat come with it is not really the water proof type. so i wish to get some recommendation from u all

i think there are 2 types of mats;
1) one is normal floor mat (default standard)
2) and the other is coil mat (part of the negotiable accessories)
the coil mat is waterproof but the floor mat is not

did you only get the default standard mat?

if you are referring to coil mat? you can get from anywhere
perhaps you can try https://carmat.sg/nomad.php

(rule of thumb - do not negotiate on accessories until you finalize on the car price)

It different setting , for parking there is motion , time lapse and energy saving , for driving there is other option

can clarify the parking and motion options are only for car in park mode (off engine) or even when during driving?

till now couldnt figure out

Yup for parking mode choose the energy saving mode

Note that energy saving mode on the F800 activates only upon impact (+5 secs before and after). Check your sensitivity to see if you are happy with it. Try closing your door normally and then hard enuf to make the car tilt a bit to see how much force is required to trigger.
Ppl open door and scratch your car may not trigger.

am using iRoad v9s2 2ch (default from KM).
Under the Event Filter option, Impact (medium), Parking (medium) & Motion Detection (medium) are turned on.

not sure whether Parking and Motion Detection are required :s11:

My bad, you are right. It only wakes up upon impact (with less than 1 sec delay) and start recording for the next 20 secs.

Is that good enough for your requirements?

If it can record when got something near instead of only after impact, then that's very good leh.

Ya I scare can’t record then defeat purpose

thats what happen recently to my iRoad dash cam.
it prompt "something in parking mode" after the dash cam is power on for 5mins.
never happen before and only record 5mins of normal events of each new ride.
was resolved by changing fuse cable or something fuse of fuse cable
