My NFC suddenly not working properly .... I tried to tap for Google pay but cannot detect.

However, it can detect my ezlink , just not payment terminal

If can detect ezlink means the NFC function should still be working. Is it you didn't place it well at the payment terminal? Iirc the NFC chip is above the camera lens...

There's one payment terminal that I have difficulty with when trying to pay with mobile GPay though - which is at breadtalk. For some reason those type (super small and under UOB) are unable to detect the NFC on my phone. Had to use physical card for paywave. I have no issues with other payment terminals though.

I tried for MRT gantry, didn't work... Not sure if it's Google pay issue or os issue.

Breadtalk not working for me as well...

Maybe I will try 7-11 later.

Are you using NFC SIM? My experiences are the SIM card is conflicting with GPay for those terminals that are accepting both Ezlink and paywave contactless payment.

Try puting the sim card to slot 2 and test.

Thanks for the reply guys. My battery is not bloated. And I've never overcharged it before. Suddenly, it gets very hot and it cannot hold charge and will switch off after it reaches 40%. My phone is still under warranty, I hope Huawei service centre will change the battery...

Just tried with food republic paywave .... Not working.. no response, as if like the phone not detecting anything .... This is so frustrating

Is your phone turned on? When did this problem start? Previously no issue? You have to trace back to when the problem started - see if anything has been updated or installed that is causing some conflict in your phone.

Yes it's set to Gpay

Turned on and looking at the screen, then tap the terminal, nothing happens...

Not sure when it happens , my last transaction was 10 May..

The only suspicious issue is Gpay updated 2 days ago..

I have updated my Gpay to the latest version when the update was released, and it was fine on my phone. You wanna try to reinstalling the app? Sometimes something in the backend might be botched during installation of updates...

Tried reinstalling, clear data, clear partition cache , Google play services data... And still not detecting MRT gantry..

Seems to be software issue, after recent Google pay update, it's working again...

Huawei's future phones reportedly won't have access to Google services, including the Play Store

So Mate 10 still ok atm as the mentioned phones are P30, P30 Pro, Mate 20 Pro. Time to change phone

it was said that existing phones will not be affected . however i'm not sure how they define "existing" phones because P30, P30 Pro, Mate 20 Pro already existed prior to the ban ..

I was also thinking of the same thing, changing the phone that is, but it's still eary to do that though . hahaha.

Very hard for me, I'm already reliant on Google for my internet stuff like Drive, Photos, YouTube, Gmail etc.
