Updating networth figures as of 31/05.
Main contribution for increase of networth is strong INR/SGD and my fixed income is mostly INR.
My direct equity exposure is 19%, however I have short PUT positions and hence including the notional as equity exposure, for conservative accounting, which takes it up to 38%.

All figures in '000 SGD.

just shows that there are many different ways to become millionaire... not just buy IWDA and wait till retirement. Everyone can choose their own destiny. Myself and many other dividend investors will just continue to collect dividends :s13:

i would say having a high income and high savings rate is a lot faster way to becoming a millionaire than buying IWDA or dividend investing

Yes. How many can get 120K per month job? Most of them are foreigners in finance or tech

Around 120k with bonus, no CPF. Investment strategy is mostly fixed income and very little equity exposure.

Only fixed income you can achieve this amount? You must have accumulated a long time. May I know how old are you?

Are you including your CPF & home equity? I have neither of them.

That's a very amazing saving rate given that your salary is supporting 3 people. Possible to share some tips?

Just normal frugal living.
1)Travel by bus, mrt only. Use grab/taxi only going to airport with lots of luggage.
2)Use circles.life $0 sim for myself and M1 prepaid sim with $15 Hot55 50 days top for my wife and circle.life sim for data for her.
3)Xiaomi export set phones that last 2 years.
4)For TV, I did cord cutting a year ago. I use VPN for global content and $29 M1 500mbps plan.
5)Wife cooks and packs lunch for me. Eating out during weekends but not fancy restaurants. Usually food courts or fast food
6)Beer, I pickup cans from 7-11, once a week
7)Vacations annually or semi-annually mostly budget travel nearby countries.
My biggest expenses are 3+1 HDB rent of $1800 and international school fees for my daughter $1000 per month. She goes to a couple of activity classes that cost about $150 per month.

So 10k monthly average income, my expenses are 5k monthly average.

That's very commendable.

People who earn more tends to spend more.. I know of several middle class earners - those who earn 20k a month would have a higher expense ratio than those earning 10k a month. The higher wage earner stays in a bigger house so everything from utilities bill to furnishing, up keep and car cost more each month compared to the 10k earner who stays in HDB. I actually find that those earning less to be better savers.
