May I have the promo codes please. Still unsure which VPN to subscribed. Pretty concern about the lack of speed.

Thanks.

What's the main purpose of having a VPN, your usage type will narrow down your selection greatly.

Well I mainly use my internet for web browsing, youtube and sometimes gaming. I do torrent on and off.

I do numerous online shopping as well.

Thanks.

Subbed to Torguard for 2 years but switched to Surfshark recently mainly for unlocking Netflix US & Japan.

After several emails with Surfshark support staff, I have decided to use IKEv2 over OpenVPN TCP/UDP for the time being.

Speed tests done yesterday:

Servers Ping (ms) Download (Mbps) Upload (Mbps)
Hong Kong 39 186.33 130.29
Indonesia 15 90.96 113.39
Japan 99 104.27 258.56
Malaysia 18 40.49 42.55
Singapore 169 135.51 198.51
Taiwan 86 204.74 44.47
US-SF 172 123.59 88.22
UK-London 319 18.36 30.76

IMO, speed is good for the price but can be inconsistent at times. The number of Asia servers/locations are good too.

Edit: BitTorrent, able to get 4.6MiB = 36.8Mbps download speed when using one of their P2P servers. (No port forwarding or Socks 5 proxy)
