guess i shall go compare 9000f and 8500f/g and see whether i can distinguish the differences. anywhere with good price now for these 2 models?

as another forumer mentioned, wat is the promotion at HN now?

pretty hard to find the x9000F brand new now at 49" or 55". most likely display sets if you're lucky. i saw gain city at marina square has 65" x9000F display set few weeks back.

regarding the black levels between these 2 models you stated, it'll be hard to distinguish any difference as the lighting at shops are too bright. As for upscaling capability, it might be tough as well due to retail sample contents playing are 4k content already. If you're able to play lower quality content in the shops, maybe it'll be better if you're looking to distinguish between these 2 models.

TV aren't the same as handphone. Usually the models only last 1 year before being replaced by the next year's model

Interested in getting Google home. Anyone successfully add TV to it? Read you need to buy and plug in chrome cast to turn TV on.
