Any recommendation for a family for 2 adult and a 2 year old son?

1) Less than $200 per night on Sept 19
2) Near to train station in Tsim Sha Tsui

u can use OTA to search the pricing based on your exact dates.
Expedia and Agoda are the better ones in my opinion ...

Due to the HK protest, hotel prices have dropped quite alot.
4* hotels usually priced at $130+ dropped to about $90+ per nite ...
for weekdays, some even dropped to $75+ for 4* hotels near jordan, mongkok area ...

Not for September 19. Holiday Inn golden mile is $400+, Prudential is $300, Imperial hotel is about $230.

Ya lor. Quite surprised to see the high prices. Even for holiday Inn.

special occasions ?

Booked before oct (china golden week holiday), price seems higher by about 20% to 30% for some of the hotels that i have shortlisted ...

I am not sure there is a big holiday.

Could it be because it is too far, they price it higher?

I have tried prudential hotel. It is almost $600 for 2 night, via booking.com.

Is it cheaper to book directly from the hotel?

You will have to check the rates on the hotel website... Book direct sometimes can get free upgrade

Sadly my favorite Evergreen Hotel at Woosung Street, Jordan has closed for good. Good central location.

Can try travelodge Kowloon. usually cheaper than the rest of hk hotels.
Looks fine. However rates come out to close to S$200 a night. Rates are jacked up. Maybe demand from PRC.

Hostel I used to stay had doubled. Across the board had gone up a lot.
