Hihi, I have similar case as you. Some frenz on Facebook support group shared it maybe due to too much protein shake coz I am also on a more protein, less carbs diet. Protein can come in the form of more natural sources than shake powder coz it’s “processed” and largely due to gut issues after a blood genetic test in Germany. Found that my gut, digestive, Colon and intestinal health state is bad.
Try take lotsa probiotics. Am consuming vivomax from guardian pharmacy or Watson. 112.5billion cultures.

I also just researched celery juice and barley green. Am taking AFA and sea buckthorn now. Seems to improve at least 20%. Skin takes 28 days to regenerate so gotta be patient.

It’s kind of lengthy but I would like to vent out my experience with this disease. I’m 28 male and I used to have healthy skin until 20 September 2018. I consider myself active individual who visits the gym at least thrice a week, i am also consuming protein to support my workout. I am not obese/underweight, weighing around 66kg.

I’m not sure if eczema just happen like this, I see myself started to itch all over and scratches all over to the extend where my skin turns red and sore, the open wound on my arms weep and bleed. Went to polyclinic and the doctor did not even know my condition, gave me some steroids and no referral. Decided to try TCM at Telok Blangah thinking that this should be my last resort, but the experience there is not great. The physician did not even feel my pulse, felt like she just prescribe the standard medicine and cream. Paid 100 over dollars and left the clinic still hoping I will recover after taking the TCM medicines. Finished all her medicine and cream and damn I did not recover, as months passed I miraculously recovered by controlling my scratching. Thinking that my nightmare is done but damn, around 2 months ago the itch came back on my scalp, arms, torso, I scratched again and things didn’t went well at all, I’ve lose tremendous amount of hair, I have bald patches on my head at the moment. Went to see a random TCM at clementi, the physician is so much nicer and I felt that she’s truly concerned (she’s not related to me) she persuaded me to undergo acupuncture and advised me to change my diet as well.. I’ve been very strict to my diet now with no cold drinks, no spicy food, no beef and I’ve even tried to eliminate sugar as much as I can, however progression hasn’t been fast but I definitely felt that I’m better than before internally. At the same time I’ve gotten a referral to the skin specialist at NSC as well just to confirm if I’m suffering from eczema or psoriasis or alopecia areta but no blood test is done, doctor seemed confident that I’m suffering from eczema and gave me lots of steroid cream and pills telling me that that’s the only way, it’s chronic and i can only suppress the condition but will not recover.

I have yet to eat the pills and used the cream from NSC, was wondering if it will work better if I combined both TCM and western method. I’ve tried lots and lots of moisturizer and my current skincare is Suu balm (to relieve itch) Emu oil and vitamin d on face, body, arms and legs. I’ve got no idea on what should I apply on my scalp to relieve the itch. Oh yes I’ve also started to consume more alkaline water, felt better but I’m not sure if this is one of the reason. If anyone has any suggestion on alternative please do share so that we are able to try it out. Eczema is really a pain in the ass and I want to seek a cure to my condition. Currently waiting for my hair to grow back and my skin to recover, really a torturous process. Jiayou everyone, I hope you have your loved ones by your side to support you... and did any adult here contracted with eczema out of the blue like me?

Thank you so so much for sharing the information, yup probiotics seems to work as well... but I’m trying to take a little protein to help in my hair regrowth (hopefully).. will be trying celery juice next week yo see if it helps me.. after seeing TCM I’ve come to a realization that we cannot anyhow drink herbal tea... the physician was saying not all heatyness is treated by the same herb/herbal tea and I might have just overdone this part. The itchier I get, the more I think I’m heaty and the more herbal tea I drank and the itchier I get... the other habit I’m trying to quit is sleeping in air-con... that should be the tough but I’ll do my best to avoid this as much as I can..

Just updating my condition: hair fall/breakage seems lesser, not sure it its because I’m left with very little hair or I’m improving though... skin is about to fully recover for some parts, trying to quit using moisturizer as well, hoping my skin can do its magic again to maintain itself... lastly I just don’t get it why does one can get eczema and damage the body so badly in such a short time..

Please try homeopathy on eczema instead of steroids.

As per homoepathy it's all due to our mind and thoughts we catch this kind of decease.

Do visit homeopathy and wellness.com for further details.

i had slight eczema on my face and on my right hand.
i've started drinking alkaline water from water ionizer after i moved into my own home in this March.

and now, the eczema on my face is cleared and the right hand is healing...
maybe you guys can try on drinking alkaline water but i don't know if it works on your body or not...

now i can eat prawns, la-la, shellfishes and sambal without flaring it...
so far so good for me...

I start having eczema few years back & now it is under control. I use Physiogel AI cream to help control the redness, itchiness & don't make it worsen but healing is slow. I also have a stubborn red itchy patch on my arm fold which can't heal for a year then the Australia goat soap (with manuka honey) come in & I notice great improvement on the redness in a week, the arm fold eczema is fully gone now. I'm almost fully recovered now, hardly any redness occurred. Still apply the Physiogel cream (switch to cheaper daily moisture cream) to keep skin moisturized after bath.

I also bath with Chinese herb 鱼腥草 & seen good result too. Now I do it 3 time per week. Just boil a handful of the herb in a pot of water for 15mins & filter out the herb, let the water cool. Rinse eczema with the water after shower.

Can be more specific on the cream? Pink is the name of it or just the colour? Also - did I ask why they no longer carry ...?

Anyone went to Yu Guo Chinese Physician Pte Ltd at Kembangan Plaza last year (2018) and was given a pink cream for eczema? That cream literally cured my eczema but when I went back this year (2019) the physician said they no longer bring in that cream anymore. Damn sad.

Anyone happens to know the name of the pink cream or where else to get it?
Thanks!

I think I might know the cream. Does it come in tubes? Maybe is zudaifu... you can find it in Lazada/shopee... but it doesn’t require prescription though..

Be careful of some of these creams that work too well. Some of them contain steroids. Which may be the reason y they no longer bring it in?

Just sharing my experience.
My case is a mild eczema which started one year plus ago. Started behind the knees and later spread to neck, armpit and elbow. Visited GP, polyclinic and NSC and was given topical steroid and moisturiser. The eczema always come back after i stopped applying steroid. Decided to give TCM a try. Did not see much improvement for the first 2 courses of oral med (消风散) and acupuncture (still very itchy and red cos no steroid application - unbearable phase) and only started to see improvement after 4th course.
Stopped the oral med after 5 courses. Now my skin is not red and scaly as before, at times very minor flare.

Hi may I know which TCM practitioner you went to?

Thank you.

Just returning to update on my status.
TLDR: Wrong diagnosis from almost every doctor (even TCM) I went to, ever.

My suggestion is to put the diagnosis of the doctor to the test. I can only input info based on my circumstance.

I no longer show allergy symptoms to egg yolks. After consumption it usually leads to skin bubbles on my palms, a lot of itching and scratching and scaly cracked skin.

Found out that I am not suffering from eczema, but the hand version of athlete's foot AKA fungus infection. Bought salicylic acid (in alcohol solution) and used for a few months now. Palm side is mostly back to normal skin, finger backs and nails still needs some time to recover.

If you recover using the below methods, congrats it was just fungus. If not you can still try using emu oil, can buy from the box rental shops (some of the chains, not all carry it). I did suffer from eczema recently, on my shoulder. Emu oil got rid of it.

1) Use the Salicylic in alchohol solution (can be bought from TCM pharmacies) on the affected areas. see if there is skin peeling and improvement after a few days.

2) Soak affected area in vinegar for 10 mins , pat dry then soak in baking soda for 10 mins. Repeat for a few days, see if there is improvement. Use cotton pads if affected area is not suitable for soaking (e.g Shoulders, face area)

3) keep affected area dry. can wash of course, but must pat dry asap. Fungus likes moist environment.

4) if there is damaged skin due to scratching or injuries, use vaseline on it. It promotes healing and acts as a shield against fungus invasion.

Hi Dainslef

May I ask for the brand of the emu oil you mentioned in the above post & where to get it?

Thank you!

Henry

theres no name cause tcm usually dont label their medications so pink is the color of the cream. And the doc told me because the supplier stopped harvesting one of the ingredients which needed to go all the way to the top of a hill to pick LOL

My eczema improves once I started eating healthy and taking probiotics available in the market like kimchi and kombucha.

Not only my eczema improves, also my skin becomes more brighter and clears up acne. I have consult with a dietician before and she mentions that usually eczema is caused by having poor digestion and intestinal health.

Do give me feedback if your condition improves by inproving your guts health😆

There are fake ones in the market. White, not pink.
