Thanks for info. :o Any advice if we get RES course then how we go about it and find someone a mentor to support and guide to sell? :o What will be the investing amount to kick start? :o

Not too sure on that. Probably pass the course first then see whether want to apply for the license?

License application is another cost?:o how much?:o

First year:
$53.50 (application fee):o
+$246.10 (annual registration fee):o
+$513.60 (mandatory Continuing Professional Development fees for 6 credits if renewing license in 2nd year):o
=$813.20 :o

Salespersons whose registrations have lapsed for more than two years are required to take the Real Estate Salesperson (RES) course and pass the RES examination.:o

The RES exam fee is $417.30.
The RES is not a qualification that can be taken and kept aside.
The RES requires a certain level of maintenance, failing which it disintegrates.:o

Hi, my opinion, word of mouth could help in looking for a good mentor.. there are many tat can give a lot of promises but at the end, never deliver.. I do know of someone that are expending his team and provide good support to the newbies to kick start your career.. as for the investment amount, it’s kinda hard to tell.. some started of with very little investment..but need to spend more time and effort to get listings..

Hello guys, I’ll be taking my first attempt this coming October and I’m contemplating if I should get Celeste Ng’s books. Afterall it’s the only book I see circulating around. But I have friends who has passed the past year tests and bought her book, said that her practice qns are not very alike to the exams and advised me not to buy bcos the exams are much much more difficult than her qns.

Can I ask for more advices from you guys whom have passed the exams? Thks!

I have her books for my RES exam. Yes the exam is not the same as her books. Although she tried to ask her students to tell her the exam questions after the exams, presumably to update her books.

Here’s my thoughts. Her questions (at least my version) forced me to read deeper and think deeper than just those lecture notes. You even need to research on internet (eg URA Web Site) or read the statuses (eg the housing act for new launches).

Does that translate to exam questions. Of course not. This is not ten years series. Does it help me to pass my exam on first try ? I think so.

I learnt a lot more doing her questions than just reading the notes.
