I'm basically using it with my Gd pals in a grp chat and my Wife. At least I can still log on to anyway to chat with her in office etc. Those office contacts are on my WhatsApp and I can chose when I like to reply them. All in all both have their adv n disadvantage.

I enjoy telegram too for the fact that i can reply messages on all devices. Example, i am surfing web, social media etc on the ipod touch while the iphone is charging and i can reply straight away without changing devices....

Besides Telegram having some downtime issues, does it also have issues like Whatsapp having delayed messages/notification sounds?

I asked because I recently got my account after some issues and am wondering what Telegram is like now (apart from being already so awesome that is).

Never had any problems with it other than the widely reported downtime during the ddos attack last year.

too used the common platform - whatsapp

unless your own friends are into a new app, else some find it a hassle to migrate if most of their contacts are on the common platform

This came as a shocker for me as I am a big user of Telegram and it is so much better than WhatsApp. I am bias here because WhatsApp is by Facebook.

Anyway, I hope more Asians start to switch to Telegram; it is just so much better than WhatsApp when it comes to multiple platform or devices.
