For those who buys watch parts/tools from Taobao, what are the Chinese terms you all search for? I used Google translate and managed to figure out some of the items I wanted, but the rest were too loosely translated so the search results at TB were very generic.

I'm looking for these (and its Google translate results):

Hands (full set, and also just the seconds-hand)

Chapter ring
章环
Cushion pad
坐垫

Also, any TB vendor you all frequent/recommend?

Should I bring it to F J Benjamin service center or I can just bring to any watch shops to replace the strap?

Me tto! But due to my being a little OCD, I hate scratches on my bracelets, so I'd swapped out the bracelets on my Orient and Ball watches to silicon ones, that way, I don't get so PO'ed with myself. Another benefit of having silicon around my wrist is, well, it's like having fake boobs on my wrist.

Depends on the type of watch and the occasion.

Silicone straps are good for more casual or sporty occasions as they are water-proof, tough and generally comfortable. But may look a little out of place in formal office attire and suits (although folks probably don't care as much nowadays).

For those more formal settings, leather or metal are preferred. Metal is probably the most versatile as it is also waterproof but (as with leather) may be a tad too formal for very casual occasions (eg: t-shirt and shorts running attire).
