TV is not just price. Those branded TVs are there for a reason (screen panel, processor, build quality, software, after sales service and warranty). Do look out for those things before u get a new TV.

Sorry for the newbie question. What is the difference between Smart TV and Android TV?
i was there for 2 days basically you pay for what you get. Picture Quality simply way off in terms of color contrast etc.

Mine just delivered today. Specs won't dwell into it.
It is a linux box with customised OS running. Seems secure after running thru with Nessus and Nmap.
Limited apps support with apps inbuilt, ironically indian apps quite a few.
Android apk not supported
Manufacture OS update possible, hopefully more features.
Till now, havn't discover what is the OS size and free space available. Inbuilt video recorder function available.
What model is your tv?
Any in-built antenna?
Received the TV yesterday, not pleased with it. The screen brightness is not distributed equally, certain parts can be seen to have different brightness. This results in patches of weird colours on the screen, e.g. black patches on a white screen, white patches on a black screen. The problem is so obvious that it can be seen easily. I have attached two images, the brighter one is taken without editing, while the darker one was edited with lower brightness to show the issue easier as the problem does not reflect as well on photos. In addition, a 4K TV was equipped with a browser not supporting 4K resolution, it is so pixelated that no one will ever use it.
But you get what you pay for... so...
Photo is taken of a white screen, a pure white screen.
