Honestly nothing really good out there if you're a farmer like me - only want to take benefits but don't spend much.

SCB still the best as it requires 200k only and can be made up of assets such as stocks bought via their platform. No min commission for stocks also means a cheap platform for regular purchases.

Can a existing SCB customer join priority and get the bonus? Or is it only for new new customers? Thanks

From what I read, as long as you have existing current/savings accounts with them, no longer eligible for the referral bonus.

https://av.sc.com/sg/content/docs/REFERRAL-PROGRAMME-PROMOTION-TnC.pdf
does not include an individual who maintains or had maintained a Deposits Relationship as the primary holder with the Bank within the past twelve (12) months from the date of commencement of the Promotion Period.

Hi. Like to check from experience is it easy to get annual fee waiver for scb or hsbc vi and applied PP via these cards? I am not a frequent traveller but I guess having lounge access when needed can be useful. TIA.

Nope not default card. They will print "privilege banking" under your name with their other cards.

This metal card has annual fee of 2k. Not really worth it imho.

DBS Altitude card also gives lounge access, and it isn't a premium card so fee waiver shouldn't be an issue.

None, maybe slightly lower brokerage comms (if u trade SGX) and free Ayataka at their half crowded lounges :s22:

Honestly i think as long as u not in proper PB, benefits of privilege banking is marginal compared with normal banking. You still don't get access to equity/bond order books.

what does "You still don't get access to equity/bond order books" mean?

IPO for eq and bond?

Yup, IPOs, pre IPOs, pte placements, pte pref offering, etc. You get the general idea..

Actually have, I got offered, but is cash upfront first, they will lock your fund until the result is out and refund you the money not allocated for

Actually treasure good for free cashier order and lounge, but sadly no preferred higher interest rate

I used it for overseas, because it's only 3% fees (instead of 3.25% for other DBS Visa and MasterCard), and it earns 2.4mpd for overseas transactions.

On paper yes but not sure whether they enforce in real situation. If the account is monitored by computer, then likely yes. If monitored by RM, then no. My experience is their RM quite nua. I doubt they will be so on to go check. If they don’t check, they will not charge u
