Actually Nvidia Shield TV refreshes every two years. 2015 first release, 2017 second release but no major improvement.

2019 3rd release with major improvement on Dolby Vision support in general and Dolby Atmos under Netflix, as well as better remote and AI upscaling.

Apple TV 4K may be pretty good for Streaming services (still a bit lack in apps) but probably no fight for Nvidia Shield TV for local gaming, even no fight for gaming streaming.

Not functioning as in can’t open app? I am able to watch Live Channels on On-Demand Videos on my Apple TV 4K

Not sure what happen to my Toggle (not loading the channels/videos menu) but issue resolved after I had to reset entire Apple TV to factory default.

1. You can try finding some free m3u8 links online and purchase an “IPTV player” on tvOS. One popular one is iPlayTV. If you want to skip the trouble of finding stable m3u8 links(require some time to test individual links and organising them), you can Google for some sellers who are selling it.

2. Can’t help you with this hey bro, my Apple TV 4K haven’t delivered yet.

For past few days till now, Apple TV+ is having CNY promotional price for new movie titles such as Captain Marvel, Spiderman Far away from home, Godzilla II, Shazam etc. Each movie selling at S$7.98 only, cheaper than a movie ticket. Just tried comparing Netflix streaming quality from my LG um 7600 tv stock Netflix app vs Apple TV Netflix app... picture quality looks way more superior on my LG tv. Think Apple may need to launch a better streaming box to compete...

Just tried comparing Netflix streaming quality from my LG um 7600 tv stock Netflix app vs Apple TV Netflix app... picture quality looks way more superior on my LG tv. Think Apple may need to launch a better streaming box to compete...

I didn’t really notice a difference in terms of pic quality on my Sony 4K tv. The speed is definitely noticeable. Android tv quite laggy in terms of control. Apple TV very snappy and instant

I agree. Quality wise and speed I think my ATV 3 is still better. Cept no 4K obviously considering it’s 4 yrs old I think. But still holding up very well.

I think the issue of YouTube 4K is software related and not hardware so the introduction of the new Apple TV would not help much. Must see what the developer of YouTube app does...

no YouTube 4K is cos  doesn’t support e proprietary V9 codec. Netflix already moved on to AV1 and both Google n  r in e same alliance so hopefully both adopt it soon.

Well, I'm kinda hoping all parties can "meet" and co-support. The Apple TV is a fast machine, and there is tons of 4k content on Youtube.

I recently purchased the Amazon Fire Stick 4K for access to the APPLE TV app, as I got an iPhone in Dec with free Apple TV+ sub for 1 year. I didn’t realise the Apple TV app doesn’t work on fire stick in sg, even though it works on my friend’s Roku!! This is highly disappointing, esp because of waste $$$ .

Has anyone been able to run Apple TV on fire stick 4K here in Singapore? I even tried expressVPN but the Apple app is very smart and Is still aware that I’m in Singapore. This effectively makes my fire stick a DUD because I already have all the other apps on my 2015 Samsung tv..

Any advices Bros? TIA.

Sorry. I had the same problem with my Fire TV Stick 4k. Its not the Apple TV app thats causing you the problem, its the stick. Somehow, its geo-tag I think. The Amazon Fire TV stick is not suppose to be sold/used in Singapore officially. Thus, some apps refuse to load.

Thats my opinion.

You can try setting a US postal code in SETTINGS. But I had no success with it.
