Cheque book

Hi,

Why am i sent a cheque book for no apparent reason? I did not ask or request for one, and was deducted $10 for something I did not ask for. That is very unethical of OCBC to do all these small sneaky things.

Hi hkchew03

Cheque books are automatically sent out when the Bank detects that a book is running low on pages

If you'd like us to look into this, drop us a PM with your contact number

Hi OCBC, is monthly instalment counted to the $500 spending?

Hi

Are you referring to the 360 account bonus interest for credit card spend?

If you are, then yes. Instalment Payment Plans are counted as part of the $500 spend. But only the monthly payment amount, not the full instalment plan amount

ie. if your full purchase of $6,000 is broken into IPP, each month's $500 IPP amount is considered for the spend criteria each month

Hello OCBC,

As 29feb and 1st Mar is on the weekend, so any credit on the weekend will not count into the ADB of March, right? So how much should I TOP up (min) to qualify for the step up bonus on 2nd Mar?

Hi there,

Funds should be credited to the account by 9pm for the transaction and value date to be on the same day.

This is applicable on Monday to Saturday (excluding Public Holidays).

Any funds credited on 1st March 2020 (Sunday) will be valued on the following day - 2 March 2020 (Monday).

To earn the step up bonus, you will need to increase your account's average daily balance in the current month by at least S$500 from the previous month's average daily balance.

If you need help with any calculations, please call our hotline at 1800 363 3333. Our service executive will be able to look into your account and assist.

You're welcome!

And to add on, if your transactions were converted to instalment payment plans through PayLite, Apple (via Telesales or Retail Store), and Samsung Online Store, the transacted and posted amount will be eligible for the relevant calendar month of transaction.

Any subsequent monthly repayments to such instalment payment plans will not be eligible.

Looking at your reply #2355 & #2359. I see that #2355 seems to say IPP monthly instalment amount is considered for each month's $500 spend.
However in #2359 it now says "Any subsequent monthly repayments to such instalment payment plans will not be eligible." Which seems conflicting.
Please help me to understand the situation better.
Thanks

Hi a4973,

There are several ways where a transaction can be broken down into instalment payment plans.

If the transaction is broken down into instalment payment plan on the merchant's end, then, as my colleague have advised, the monthly instalment amount will qualify.

However, if the transaction is broken down into instalment payment plan via PayLite*, Apple (via Telesales or Retail Store), and Samsung Online Store, the whole transacted and posted amount will be eligible. Any subsequent monthly repayments to such instalment payment plans will not be eligible.

*PayLite is a service OCBC offers that allows you to break down your transactions to 3, 6, or 12 months instalment with a one-time low processing fee)

You may find details on this on our website (https://www.ocbc.com/personal-banking/accounts/360-account.html) as well.

Do refer to 'Credit Card Spend Bonus' under 'Questions you may have'.

Hi there,

You will be able to visit our branch to apply for Internet Banking, however, the process will not be immediate.

If you have forgotten your credit card PIN, we would advise for you to call our hotline at 1800 363 3333 and get a PIN replacement.

Hi OCBC,

Can you please advise if the OCBC 90N card 4mpd promotion for spending on Singapore Airlines is based on transaction date? The promotion is slated to end on 29 Feb 2020 and I'm looking to purchase my tickets today (26 Feb).

Thanks!

Hi there,

The promotion is based on the posted, and not transacted date. To be eligible for the bonus miles, the transaction will have to be posted by 29 February 2020.
