Yes, there are 3 bank accounts on the GIRO form, and CardUp is using the SCB one. It shouldn't matter which one CardUp uses, as long as it's one of the 3, right?

The purpose of verifying is to have comfort that the bank account really belongs to Prudential. As Trazora mention, use the default. I don't think can change the bank account also.

Any chance to still get cardup to charge GPMC today if I initiate the payment now? Am guessing it’s low chance right?

Cannot. They have a next business day where you pay 0.3% more. No same day.

BTW if you are thinking of catching the Grab rewards, cardup no Grab rewards.

I just initiated my first cardup arrangement to pay my prudential monthly premium via UOB One since it is due after 16 march :(

I arranged for it to be paid to prudential by 8 march (due date is 22nd). should have enough time to process right?

so can I ask:
- will I should see one or two transactions in my uob one card - premium amount, cardup fee, or both add together as one transaction?
- how do I know if prudential received the amount from cardup and will not charge my UOB one card?

Will see 1 transaction for cardup.

For my case, I call Great Eastern hotline to check if they receive the payment because their portal don't show payment details.

so cardup can be used to pay all insurance companies...? and it can earn cashback from all credit cards? it's only worth it if the cashback itself is more than the cardup fee right? those 1.5/1.6% cashback cards... still not worth it to use cardup isn't it.

Can pay major insurerers except NTUC.

Regarding if 1.6% cashback card is worth it, you can do the math right?

Will appear this way if partial payment. If full payment made suspense account will be 0. CSO say for full payment look at next premium due date. If move to next year (mine annual premium) means this year fully paid.

Anyway once a year for me. Sleep better if I call. :s13:

I paid cardup on 3 Feb. Let you know if there is rebate.

My billing cycle ends on 9th Feb. When will rebate come in ? A bit rusty as this card was in drawer for 1 year. Took it out to pay annual premium via CardUp.

does anyone know if cardup can be used with debit card as well? instead of just credit card? specifically the HSBC everyday global (Visa) debit card.

update: according to CSO... cardup transactions are not considered eligible spending for the hsbc EGA debit card... :(

Confirmed cardup using BOC Family card earns 3% rebate. I made only 1 payment - cardup transaction for insurance payment $801.64 on 2 Feb. Received rebate on 6 Mar of $24.05.

Also confirmed that CardUp is counted for card spending for BOC smartsaver. Got my bonus interest for card spend today.

According to the aviva site, the aviva bank account is currently with UOB. But, the cardup site is still showing the recipient account as under DBS. When I tried to ask cardup regarding this, I was told that aviva wants cardup to continue transferring funds to their DBS account. TBH, this sounds quite dodgy to me. Anyone successfully paid for an aviva policy premium recently? TIA.
