Was reading the last few pages then came across a suggestion of getting to deco m4/m5.

Are these mesh a supplement to current router or a replacement?

If it's a supplement, is it normally usable with any routers, or I will still need to further check if it's usable with my current router...?
I'm using a synergy 1900ac router BTW. But find that my range of WiFi is very lacking.

Any help appreciated on what I should do.
Just maybe want to extend to 2 rooms away will be good enough.

singtel wifi mesh is always working on any router and any ISP when connected. the difference is you'll lose software update ability the moment you you are using a 3rd party router on singtel network, or any ISP network other than singtel.

Can I ask after setting up the AirTies, do we still connect to our Router or the AirTies?

Realised that my AirTiles is secured a password, tried my router password and doesn't work. How do find out what's the password for that sia? Is it must use LAN connect to AirTiles then access its IP config at browser like how we do for routers?

Sent from Samsung SM-N960F using GAGT

the password will be provided on the sticky label for airties, look around the unit or inside the box..

Airties 4920

Possible to add on and connect more Airties 4920 nodes (purchased from online store) to existing Airties Mesh (officially purchased from and setup by Singtel)?

Airties 4930 with Netgear orbi

I got a pair of 4930 with the singtel 2gb plan but I need one more for better coverage.

Qn 1. can I purchase the netgear orbi and add that to the airties 4930 pair ? Or must it be all airties 4930 ?
Qn 2. Is there a way to just buy a single unit and not a pair ? The singtel website seems to only sell them in pair.

is your router and the wired airties closed to each other?
I use a long Ethernet cable to place the mesh in the next room. That way, the furthest mesh can be placed more further away.

If you wish to buy airties, buy 2nd hand sets. Cheaper. Buy from someone who has upgraded their mesh

Hi all,

Previously I was using the Singtel ONR > AC Plus router. I've just signed up for Airties 4930.

Will there be any difference if I plug in the Airties to the ONR or the AC Plus?

There should not be any real difference. You can even get rid of the AC Plus (keep it as a backup) if the Airties are good enough for your use.
