Quite sad to see that people are getting rolex due to the resale value as well. It would be boring to see everyone with a Rolex to be honest.

One of my fave pieces although I wonder if I should get a smaller version of the Airman.

I usually hate NATOs, but the Airman series is clearly designed for them, with that lug design.

$2600 before cpf.

my salary is $2600 before cpf. which credit card can i apply for and if i buy a rolex within $10,000 then how does the credit card repayment work?

Not to sound preachy, but never ever buy luxury items on credit/installment plans. Make sure you have that money in your savings first before pulling the trigger (if you already have that $10,000 in bank by saving up for this watch, please go ahead and pull the trigger).

And that is just the bare minimum. Best to have buffer, > $10,000 in bank before buying a $10,000 item

the watch is unlike to gain value nor will it help to pay for your wedding.

Better for you to save up and invest in yourself (better knowledge, skills, jobs) to upgrade your income before buying one.

No gal will marry a guy with a $10k watch but low income. They rather marry someone with a higher income.

$10k can pay for a lot of courses (e.g investing), equipments (e.g workstations and videography equipment), networking events to generate a higher sustainable income .

gotta give credits to Rolex marketing
when i first started watch buying, Rolex to me was the top luxury brand, wah i fully justified the cost and went ahead to buy.

only when i join this group and learn more that i know rolex is prob just mid-tier at best in the luxury watches category.

agree, watch is just a "want", not a "need".
never, ever, ever buy a "want" on installments, if you do, your priority is wrong...

no doubt it is beautiful but I am sure there are cheaper and more readily available options. Kinda sick of seeing rolex :s22:

Wait until you see cashier in 7-11, a butcher in market all wearing Rolex then will start questioning where is that luxury goes to? In fact buying a watch for investment is already a wrong idea. Is rather a straight sunk cost in my opinion. So at the EOD just buy something you really like and can bring out the better of you.
