75% in equities, bonds and bond equivalent (eg cpf). A more accurate term would be non cash which under low interest circumstances is becoming more important to distinguish

Finally update my position for 1H2020

Investment losses in sgx counters offset by salary/bonus and gains in IWDA. Despite Covid-19, NW increased by 2.2% over 6 months and 5.4% over past 12 months.

It's much better than I expected.

Still 30% away from my retirement target to be achieved over 10 years.

I see. Very different from most people’s retirement goals (4% WR, etc.). Although in the Singapore context, I guess this works better.

Currently in a dilemma as my expenses are very tough to find an annual average for, for the next 40 years. Esp. with bumpy years with big spends on holidays. Tweaking my model nearly everyday

I suspect mine would be the most conservative. My expenses are expected to peak in 8 to 10 years when my kids are near tertiary education age. I would have a better idea if I could retire as plan in 2030 (has a nice ring to it)

interesting comparison between revhappy and DW's portfolio. One is 900+, the other is 800+ but the risk profile is very different.

I think it shows the power of CPF and subsidised housing and the role in plays in increasing net worth. Because DW got CPF and HDB, he can take a little bit more risk in his portfolio.

Why is liquid asset not equal networth? I would argue it is. Illiquid assets on the other hand are not equal networth. Like hdb. Which you need to deduct loan and can't complete sell in 24 hours.

Networth includes everything - liquid and illiquid

But I don't include my home in my calculation or my hdb flat that's is rented out

edit: checking his blog again, I think DW has not collected keys yet, so he doesn't have his flat yet.

But as to the general question of whether to include residential property. I think it depends on what you want to measure. DW is a dividend collector, so he wants to measure growth of assets that deliver dividends.

I did a quick review of my portfolio holdings and found that 3 more ETFs have made it into my top holdings list. My resolution for 2020 was to buy more ETFs and to spend less time trying to stock pick, so its good to see ETFs taking up a larger part of my portfolio.

The 3 ETFs that made it to my list are:
• World Dividend ETF (iShares World Quality Dividend & Vanguard All-World High Dividend Yield ETF)
• FTSE Asia ex Japan High Dividend Yield ETF
• Tracker Fund of Hong Kong

100% agree. unlike some die-hard supporters that seem to think there is only 'one right answer' and you must invest in a certain way, I'm one of those that believe there are many ways to financial independence. If there was only one way then a lot of the finance industry shouldn't exist.
