I'm early 20s, just went for lasik with EEC and asked for Dr Lim Wee Kiak. I did Femtolasik + CXL which was recommended due to my astig. I did quite a lot of reading here and on other sources before making my choice to do lasik and I wanna give back so I'm writing this post about my experience.

Previously my eyes had 375 degrees left and 450 degrees right hyperopia (far sighted) with 175 left and 250 right degree astigmatism. Dr Lim actually said that I have a very rare case since not many people my age are far sighted with high astig. He was very professional in explaining the procedures before the surgery and I felt quite reassured during the surgery as he would give a heads up of what is going to happen and how long it would take to complete and the staff gave a countdown for each procedure.

Currently a few days into recovery, my eyesight for things near is good, I can read text at a near distance very well. I'm a programmer so being able to read is good enough for me to continue my job.

As for side effects, I did not really experience much of an issue with dry eyes, my eyes feel normal though I do still have the halo effect at night, it's slight but I'm kinda used to it due to my astig but I still don't have very good vision when driving at night, the 4th or 5th car in front will look a bit blurry but I can see well enough in my direct vicinity to drive. There are some red marks around my eye from the surgery that have been slowly going away.

I'm quite satisfied with my results for now, and I do still subconsciously look for my specs sometimes 😂 and hopefully I'll fully recover within a month or two and get the 'HD vision' most people talked about.

Great to hear. You just did recently too? what a coincidence. So there are 3 people, including myself, that did at EEC recently. Did mine with Dr Julian 2 days ago. So far so good. It feels surreal to have clear vision that I keep thinking im wearing contact lens. And to wake up seeing things clearly without fumbling for specs, is just wow..

I did the same day as you (mine was late afternoon)

It was ok the first morning when the protective lens was on. After taking out the lens I felt more discomfort.

I called EEC and they said quite normal to have burning sensation due to dry eyes when waking up.

Anyway just to play safe I just booked appointment today to check with doc haha

Last minute appointment with doctor was catered to very fast .. almost immediately checked on when I arrived .

Doctor checked with microscope and saw nothing wrong with flap, said probably just the wound healing and to put more eye drops if that happens again . Will take time to heal . (For reference I’m mid 30s already so maybe took longer to heal compared to my friends in their 20s)

TransPRK at Clearvision

Hi

I had done evaluation test this morning at ClearVision and Dr Ho said I would need TransPRK and Corneal Cross Linking Treatment due to thin cornea (550+ both eyes) and high degree (800 both eyes and 1.5 for Astig).

Has anyone here went through TransPRK and Cross Linking Treatment? Total cost went up 1,284 cos of CCL.

Would any kind soul share referral code for ClearVision?

Nurse put eye drop for test and i am still hving a bit of near vision blurriness though it has been 4 hrs. Is it normal?

sorry for many questions :s12::s12:

So my best guess is 10k for 1 pair of eyes? Ig do at SNEC would be around 7k? Have a scar on my pupil b4, so my previous eye check the doctor recommend i do not take any lasering on the eyes. Just to prevent any unforeseen circumstances.

But he say i go for ICL. Just wanna hear the prices out b4 i continue to venture for more eye checks. First eye check with the eyedrop make my eyes blur the whole day, damn awkward x.x

Thanks folks!

Go SNEC. cheaper and more comfy place. doctors also top notch. only thing is might hv to wait for surgery times a little but the experience is good. I didnt like my test experience at a certain doctor clinic, small place, and doc didnt even review me just ask his staff to communicate based on the test results.
