Wait for SMIC to overtake TMSC? Maybe Kirin will be back next time..

It is fine to me that Huawei phones use other processors, as long as they are fast and energy efficient. The only catch is the phones could be more expensive.

It will take a few more years with generous government subsidies before China can manufacture 5 nm based processors. So Kirin is effectively out in high-end processors, which may also affect its Huawei's 5G business.

Time is money. After sometime, some brand may be just gone due to supply chain has stopped. ZTE is one good example.

Hi, can I enquire whether do you think Huawei Mate 40 Pro will sell well in Oct or Nov this year, given that the company has quite some problems?

Thanks.

That's much questionable. Looking at the future of handphone business of Huawei is unclear. If Huawei cannot produce handphone because of the sanction, without future income the after sales service of existing one will be stopped.
