Is It the location a wide place to fly drones?

flying above water there, drones drop down also will not hit anyone. water front has some space if you dare not fly above water.

2 videos here showing that location, search for "27 Jan 2020":
https://www.facebook.com/groups/608395083061309/
- Mavic mini handphone FPV view recorded video, tested range of about 200m
- Spark showing the surrounding, range of about 200m

we had been flying drones about every weekend since phase 2 re-opening, will stop for a while if covid19 new cases suddenly spikes up.

you want to fly together this saturday? :D
have fun! :s12:

i'm planning to fly drone at Marina Bay area. flying above water where there is no crowd.
Can help me to confirm it is legal to fly there? hwzlite flew there before?

This place is not under any caas nfz.
I never fly there before, as too many tourists and very crowded. And too much wifi/gps interference.

But now it is pandemic time and should be like ghost town during weekend.
May be good chance to fly there now? so, any problems? :s11:
also where would be some good spot to launch the drones? thanks in advance!

That area indeed crazy interference affected video feeds even with antenna booster! :s22:
I launched from "The Promontory" :

UPz,....

this thread looks dying... :s39:

Mavic Mini CE version, with DJI Fly ver 1.1.10
I had re-tested the range, could go as afar as 900m
I think DJI had increased the WIFI transmission power to CE maximum during some of the last few firmware updates.

Hi, looking to get my first drone. Eyeing the Mavic Air 2 Combo. Few questions if anyone can help to advise:
. Where is a better place to buy from?
. Is Combo pretty much all is required? Any other necessary accessories that I should include?
. Read here pretty much no place conducive for drone flying. How about neighbourhood parks, can use?
. Is Mavic air a good start for drone hobby? Had those cheaper drone before few years ago but it barely takes off without crashing.

Flying near but not crossing restricted area

Hi,

Planning to film some sailing off the Tuas ICA checkpoint, launching 75m off the restricted area. And even if legal, I don't want to end up in an argument with some police officer. Most flight time will be hundreds of meters away

Any experiences or recommendations on how to fly the drone near a restricted area?

My thoughts:
* No direct footage
* Keep 50m away from restricted area

THoughts?

+ not >60m altitude
+ don't cross to Malaysia maritime boundary
+ maintain flight within VLOS (Visual Line of Sight)
+ needs Club’s written consent if launch from Raffles Marina Lighthouse
Then you are good to go :D

Got a bicycle and I'd be cycling all around the island by myself during this covid lockdown, I'm thinking of getting a drone to bring it with me during my cycling, for selfies, areal stills/video.

Looking at Mivic Air 2 or the new mini, or even better the DJI FPV...

Whilst my search into drone flight in Singapore, I found out (via https://flywhere.sg/ ) that there is soooo many no fly zone in SG, especially on the northen, east and west of the island. does that mean I can't have my drone follow/video me while I ride in Neo Tee, S.Buloh, Woodland, Punggoh etc?...

Does anyone drone and cycle at the same time, what's ur advise?
