The interviewers are aware that most of us do not have any prior legal backgrounds, as such, they would largely ask questions that tests our critical thinking skills and moral compass (this applies to both the essay test and interview). I will use an example to illustrate my point (this is purely my own opinion of how the interviewers might phrase their questions, and by no means any indication/confirmation of how the interview/essay test will be conducted).
I believe we are all aware of the recent series of sexual misconduct cases by students from a certain tertiary education institute, and the recent case of a famous influencer in Singapore.
How they might approach would be to ask:
1) Why do you think there is a rising trend of sexual misconduct by young adults?
2) How do you think we can better educate young Singaporeans about sexual consent and respect?
Other topics that I feel may also be relevant would include professional misconduct of lawyers and child abuse.
thanks for providing an example to us!! that's very helpful of you
