After reading through the thread, can I confirm to get the $18 pop up as a existing giga! customer, is to port out your existing number giga number (main number) to another telco, sign up a new line, and a month later port back in? TIA.

30GB vs 40gb + rollover
1000Min 200 min Addon 100 min @ $1
1000Sms 200 sms Addon 100 sms @ $1
Free Weekend Data If you can't even use 30gb/mth this is practically useless
Free Incoming call how many plans are there that doesn't have free incoming call
Free Spotify (Which i dont use) should you decide to have spotify somehow in the future, just gather 5 more people and get family plan which works out to be $2.5/person/mth

I think it's simply dependent on your call time and sms, which both are easily replaceable by whatsapp. If you don't need the call time and sms it's an instant switch for me. *added comparison for you

transferring of ownership is really a hassle
cannot avoid not going to the shop to show both parties NRIC.

thought of porting 2 more numbers from singtel to giga but under different Giga account but impossible. Cos these numbers were under my Singtel account and giga die die only can add under my exiting giga account.

the only way out is to do transfer of ownership at singtel first.
Dont think a interim port over to another telco like Myrepublic then to giga will work cos if you own the number it will follow where ever you go ... well is legit though ... :(

Transfer ownership while doing a port-in to MyRepublic is easy, and just requires the filling and signing of the form by the line's original owner. After that is done, can jump to other mobile provider.

That is what I did, porting in from Singtel to MyRepublic, changing ownership of the line from my father to me. :o

but I will miss the current giga promo :o

U can always sign up the current promo as a new line, then port your existing number to it after the promo.

Of course, this means u will need to pay for 2 subscriptions during the parallel period but I think it will be just a small price to pay than those contract-breaking amounts.

My sim only mysim20 ending 26sep and being a demised plan, I will lose my 10% discount and 3gb free add-on and caller ID and roaming free .. currently paying $23 for 42gb.. This plan is under my wife name.

So I guess to switch to giga, I need to get her to sign up for giga sim card so as to be able the number when my m1 expire right...

The thing I will lose is the volte feature, and incoming call roam

Nope. Only support SMS receiving when oversea.

Just sign up Giga $18 plan today, just want to do a quick confirmation, if overseas won't be able to receive call but saw that they have this IDD add-on, this one is for calling out when overseas only (still will not receive incoming call)?

IDD is for calling within Singapore.

Not possible to make phone call oversea. Can only receive SMS.

Thanks, I have applied for the line this morning, still contemplating if should port over my main M1 line as I travel to Malaysia often, in case any emergency will face issue in calling :s13:

GOMO also does not support making and receiving phone calls when oversea, and even does not support receiving SMS.

Thats right! Gomo also no voice roaming.

For frequent visits to Malaysia its better to get a local sim. All the calls made will be charged at local rate...topping up is easy and cheap too.

I think depends on your usage.
Also take note that Caller ID Display and Roaming Monthly charges are excluded in M1 plan
