Mine ported from GRID to Giga - delivered sat, ported over on midnight sun.

My wife ported from M1 to Giga - delivered Friday, still not ported over.

Is there a difference between telco porting? Shld I raise to giga! regarding this?

Weird that Giga isn't allowing those on the cheaper $10 plan to upgrade to the $18 pop up plan as well? Got money don't wanna make?

Market Share......

Upgrading of plan does not increase their market share. Meanwhile, new plan or port-in would help them to increase their market share.

Yes as you have experienced.
I believed there is no hard rules or regulation on this so I think you should raise to Giga if it exceeds the promised period.

I had issues when I port over from M1 to Giga many mths ago (subsequently resolved). From what I see from Facebook or in this thread, it does seem that most of those who have problems ported from M1 or MNVOs using M1.

Suggest you contact Giga on Mon.

with them for many years, 4GB ofor $39 :s13: contract ending Oct, will apply for Giga first then port over. This week $18 for 40GB quite a good plan

If you can survive 4 GB for many years, why sign up for $18 plan 40GB instead of $10 plan for 6 GB :s11:

Hello guys. I chanced upon this Giga pop up plan only now, and it is going to end in 2 days time. I roughly did a quick read through of some of the latest pages of this thread.

May I ask;
1) if I opt to port in from MyRepublic, to set the Giga bill date on 1st of every month, when is the recommended date I should request port-in via the App?

2) Don't know whether the app will ask port in from which telco. If asked, I indicated as MyRepublic or Starhub since I came across someone here indicating Starhub then port successfully.

Depend on your plan. Do take note MR use Starhub and M1.

New plan are on M1
Old plan are on Starhub.

Can only answer 1.

To have billing on 1st of every month, you need to activate on 1st of the month. Billing is based on activation date, not port-in date. This is because Giga allows for port-in at later date ie use the Giga number first and request for port-in using their app when you are ready.

Note that billing is also based on exact time of activation. Eg if you activate on 1 Sep at 2am, next billings will be 1 Oct 2am, 1 Nov 2am. So might be good to activate at inactive hours rather than mid day.

You can apply for Giga now and ask for delivery. Don't insert SIM card till 1 Sep.

Yeah, so irritating. If keep spamming referral codes no remove then any tom dick harry dog cat can do it, can just change this thread title to Starhub GIGA referral codes.

Getting my sim soon, I'm porting over at a later date.

1. Is the activation instant?
Possible to activate without inserting sim card?
Is there an optimal day and time to activate?

2. How long does it take to port over from Starhub?
Is there an optimal day and time to port over?
