Its the chip process got better yield. The 3 series gpu is from samsung, not TMSC.
Reminds me of the shitty Exynos when I hear Samsung.

Yea I was wondering that also.
3090 seems like the Titan if I infer from the event.
He was talking about the Titan before he showed the 3090.
Also 3080 is the flagship so it makes further sense.
In that case 3090 is not so worth liao considering there will surely be a 3080ti.
Yup! Though cheaper than Titans have been

I will if there is any left in shelve....![]()
Yeah, I'll probably try to sell mine for 600 or so

YEAHHH, and the note20 **** as well.
1 model of phone but selling with different hardware inside....ugh....
Is the 3090 the Titan equivalent ?
Going for 3090 and gonna stay out of Nvidia news until next architecture so wont kena poisoned again. I just wish 3080Ti wont obsolete the 3090 and no 3090Ti in next year pipeline lol.
Pretty sure there is a gap reserved for 3080ti and 3070 Super. 3080 Super seems unlikely.

If it was the 1080ti kind of Ti performance gain over 1080 that made Titan X look not value for $, then I guess I will feel abit bad for buying the 3090.
But then again, I had assumed the 3090 was the 80 equivalent and was prepared to get a 3090ti. So might as well just get 3090 and be done with it.
Now just thinking whether to hoot asap or wait for 3090 benchmarks. From 3080 benchmarks over 2080 I have seen 70% to 90% increases so far. Wonder how 3090 fairs.
I don't think anyone needs convincing for the rtx 3000 series, I'll probably wait for the benchmarks to see if the $300 upgrade to the 3080 (from 3070) is worth it if I'm just planning to game at 1440pYes, normally i will not swipe my CC until see it with out own eyes.... (least u will recommend others to do so).... but base on what they have shown we are in for one hack of a ride, ampere is a monster GPU w 28b transistor, its a big leap from turin 13.6b, and translate to >2x performance improvements.
All the 3000 series is 1 step above the top 2000 series (no overlap). The last time this happens was 2004, when 6600GT launch blows all the FX cards away. Imagine a 3070 which cost only half of 2080Ti with 2x increased performance.... that's a very compelling selling point.
There will probably still be a mid cycle upgrade in 2021, be it branded as Super or noti feel that nvidia is getting rip of super naming

Rtx 3080 seems like the next mid tier priced card that everyone is getting. Decent specs for below 2k price. Gonna upgrade but not sure if possible to find 1 on day 1.
