Personally I want to up the sg poverty line to $2k or $11.30 per hour . No point apply MW when ppl still can’t have basic living with $1.5k.

Should set selective minimum wage, only those jobs that have a high % of local elderly will be eligible. 1.2k should be enough for elderly monthly expenses if live alone and exclude medical bills. Cost can be offset by lowering rental and do away with middleman who earn a profit by getting cheap labor to that company

Progressive wage model works if we can control the foreign workers in the applicable sectors.

Currently PWM only applies to Security, Landscaping and Cleaning services. So really only a small group benefits.
