Hi, can someone send the correct HR email over here? Found a bunch but not sure which is the right one. Wanna ask them for updates.

Applied for DEI back in June, went for SA on 2 Sept, up till now still no updates. From what I understand, we should get an update within 2 weeks of SA. Status in career@gov still shown as shortlisted. Anyone in the same position as me?

Hi fellow DEI applicant here, it will take about 3-4 months for an update after SA (if you are successfully through the SA round) not 2 weeks. I got my round 3 after 4 months, same as another friend.

Hmm that’s weird. I asked one of the interviewer during SA, and he said if everything is successful, this batch will be in the Nov 2020 intake.

Yeah I think they were being too optimistic because they told me if everything successful I would have been Jul 2020 intake but here I am still waiting :s12: keeping in mind I applied last year Dec

The backlog for round 3 is pretty huge so earliest for you I believe will be 2021

why need to delay? Just apply? Not like the other jobs will come back so fast too? Like that if SPF doesn’t work out then u wait even longer.

Delay for what? Should just treat SPF application like a lottery ticket- can get it means strike, cannot means life goes on. In the mean time pick up some skills or courses to improve your chances in future if you want to try again.

Delay being I alr applied and completed panel interview (and passed according to my friend in hr) so left with medical appointment
Medical appointment will take very fast (based on what she said about other candidates) be it successful or failure but for me I don't want to end up in a situation where the org offers me alr but then SPF haven't get back to me so delay lor

as mentioned to reddevil, SPF would be my top choice and I am more or less secured for the other role which I am also interested in but not as interested
there is a bond in the contract so I can't resign for the first 2 years when I sign it lest I need to pay a huge chunk of money to them

it makes economical sense to delay it

besides I'm not hard up for a job right now at the moment am doing some courses online to upgrade skills so not like I'm doing nothing atm

My situation is either I jump for spf or I jump to other job. I not in rush nor need it. Its like lottery. Got is good. No have then life move on.

Spf also must don't lowball me first then I can jump ma. Don't make sense to jump for lesser pay 😂 so just waiting lor.

My delay is cause I just suay bian look for other jobs and they offered but recently got pay changes so I asking for counter offer.

I is cna wait. I just don't like the feeling of waiting. Its not a do or die spf for me.

Actually if it's me
Ill do what you do.

Don't make sense in terms of payment wise to break bond if I got confidence in spf offering me

I don’t see what’s wrong with them. Later if medical appointment not fast and you end up waiting for months just to find out you not getting offered you totally wasted your time.

Which got a bond? SPF or the other job?

If other job got bond then doesn’t make sense la.

But ok at least you are upskilling rather than some ppl just sit at home thinking they will get the SPF offer.
