Now we have 2 months to go find a good monitor or TV that can really capitalize on the PS5 strengths.

I'm assuming basic specs are 4k + 120hz + HDMI 2.1.

Was planning a 55' TV. But can't seem to find anything affordable (<$800).
Alternatively was a 32' Prism + monitor $579
(https://prismplus.sg/collections/gaming-monitors/products/prism-x315-pro-new)

Any suggestions especially on the TV.

$800 is only possible for regular 40 inch TV TBH
OLED and good 4k panel can try LG CX 55

If not necessary, den why u buy to replace your tv? you could have also gotten one without 4k@120hz ma :s22:

Why?
Because i wanna get an oled tv. And just nice it comes with hdmi 2.1. So why must I get an oled and purposely find one that doesn't have hdmi 2.1. Haha

The 65CX is rated one of the best 4k tv in the market so I mainly use it for movies.

I also just bought another budget xiaomi 65inch tv yesterday. That's for my bedroom for netflix. After all the coupons and discount, about $680+. Got HDR, dolby audio etc. Looks not bad, not sure how it will compare to my oled.

Saw some article for USA. Basically it says like there's a shortage of digital edition also. Like 20-30% of allocated stocks in the states are for digital the remaining make up the disc.

Didn't help that the disc is also popular so still gets sold out.

Side note, thought some bros mentioned here that the 2nd batch (as informed to them by sony) is in dec? So for dec - March means possibility of 3rd batch ?

Good deal... I bought my LGC9 55” at around same price cos reviews say C9 better than CX for gaming purposes. Anyway doubt we’ll get to see many, if not any games that can run at 4k 120hz soon... 🤭🤭

Review didnt say c9 better. It only mention c9 has 48gbps bandwidth on hdmi 2.1 while cx has 40gbps bandwidth on hdmi 2.1

After ps5 specs announced, it is confirm both ps5 and xbox series capped their max bandwidth to 40gbps already. So the cx and c9 hdmi 2.1 capability is the same already, no diff. Ultimately cx will be better buy because its the upgraded a9 processor compared to c9 a8 processor. I was also contemplating between c9 and cx previously but den no brainer..the cx was cheaper with the vouchers involve

but to be honest, if u just compare picture quality of an 4k oled with a 4k led tv, the nicer picture quality is not worth 4 times the price of a non oled.

So unless u got a really good deal on an oled, a led tv is sufficient. The upside of getting a flagship tv is that the processor is snappy. Switching apps from netflix to YouTube etc is like instant. Able to multitasking netflix while youtube runs so switching speed is like on your pc when u multitask. My old 6 year old samsung...launch an app will take like 10 secs...switch app, the previous app will close off liao.

That’s great to know... pls don’t misunderstand me in anyway. I had a hard time contemplating between the 2 and the lower cost at that point of time in addition to the many reviews and comments swayed me on my purchase. At the end of the day, we’ve got great screens to game our PS5 on... so cheers :)

Still, I seriously doubt when we’ll get to see a 4k 120hz game, especially with ray tracing on... 😂

Yup, even the latest nvidia ampere card 3080 got issue pushing 4k 120hz. So won't be seeing it for PS5, maybe only 1080p 120hz.
