If you need cross linking, why u choose not to do it?
Just did my transprk with Clearvision 4 days ago! Had a hard time deciding between shinagawa and Clearvision but ultimately chose Clearvision cos I didn’t want to do the flap technique and I was recommended to do cross linking for both eyes with shinagawa.

Anw I’ve 10 boxes of Bio true dailies contact lens (-4.75’) to clear at 1/2 price. Expiry 2023

Pm me if keen!

Apparently I was told clear vision only does transprk now. That was what the staff told me during the assessment.

Oh thanks for sharing! Btw, did you used any referral code? Appreciate if you can share with me. Sorry can't DM you. :(

I am wondering how much is the transprk cost? And is it a must to do the cross linking? What does cross linking help in transprk? And if anyone have any referral code for transprk at clear vision. Do drop me a pm. As I am considering to do it. And if is it possible to do the consultation and transprk on the same day?

Did bladeless lasik at EEC last Friday at the Royal Square Novena branch. Arrived at 10am for the pre-assessment - went through a few painless checks, talked to the counsellor (who will answer all your questions and explain the procedure), saw Dr Julien Theng who was very assuring. Think he mentioned something about having done 20,000 pairs(?) of eyes including his children's. Made payment close to 2pm..a big part of the 4 hours was spent waiting actually.

Told to return at 5pm to prep for surgery at 6pm. Time will fly by because of those nerves :spin: Actual procedure is really quick. First machine (which creates the flap) causes abit of discomfort. No pain, just strong pressure on the eye which lasts about 30s. Dr will then sweep the flap open and use laser to correct your vision. Totally no feeling during these steps.

Eyes were abit sensitive right after. For me its similar to when its irritated by smoke. After a 3hrs nap its back to normal again..with around 80% vision at this point. Went back next day to remove bandage lens and vision got to about 90%.

Went back to work on day 3, not much issues other than the usual dry eyes. Just use the various eye drops conscientiously and things should be fine. Enjoying the (more or less) clear vision so far :s12:

Paid $3554 nett after referral discount (excluding follow up reviews). Would recommend anyone considering lasik to just go for it. Wanted to go with Shinagawa initially. Cleared the pre-assessment but unfortunately on the scheduled day of surgery, eyes were overly dry and not in good condition. Dr Lee suggested using eye drops daily and return for a review after 2 weeks. They don't offer same day surgery though, so I ended up going with EEC.

Frankly, I think the environment and service is better at Shinagawa. Much lesser waiting time and more personalised service. 1 optician follows you through all checks whereas at EEC, every check is done by different people and it feels more like a production line. However in terms of surgical skills, to me both Dr Lee and Dr Theng are more than qualified and will complete the surgery successfully.

Does anyone knows if there are any price difference in referral discount for clearvision? E.g quoting influencers vs referral from friends etc?

Transprk was $3888 nett. I got a $120 discount from a YouTuber’s referral. Like I said I was told I had to do cross linking by shinagawa, but when I went to clear vision, I was told by Dr Ho that as my results are quite borderline, I might have to do for left eye only. However, he told me see how on surgery day as there will be tests done again. In the end, did not have to do cross linking at all. I think cross-linking is using Vit Eye drops and then shining UV light to strengthen the cornea(think you can google more about that) cross-linking was $1100 before gst at shinagawa and $1284 at CV.

I did my surgery 2 days after consultation. I’m not quite sure if u can do on the same day...I doubt so cos I was told he only does surgery at 1030am everyday. You can call and ask.

I’m in my 1 week recovery now, vision getting better everyday however it’s still not 6/6.

Did Transprk with clearvision yesterday. Slept thru the whole of yesterday. Could hardly nap much today. Vision wise, it's like not wearing my 400+ degree glasses.

For clearvision referral fee, go Google for those blog and quote any of the blogger name will do. SMU student and gymfit member have greater discount as well.

Will chip in more details when I can see better.

What the cost ICL?
My myopia is -11/-10 and astig -1/-2.
I did a test with dr Lee Hung Ming at Asia pacific eye centre due to friend recommendation and was quoted 16k for ICL.
Is this normal? If yes probably will just go with him cos he seem professional.

Yes, CXL sounds easy but i dont know why they charge 1k plus for such procedure. haha..

When i did my lasik, i was told my case borderline also but i decided to do together with my lasik. although i was told CXL is something you can do in future also. but i rather do together to get it over and done with.

Can you share your referral code with me? I cannot private message you.

if you didn’t get any replies, you can try and get those bloggers or youtubers who did with EEC. just the name itself can get referral promo already.

Hi, anyone here did laser vision surgery with low degree myopia? which you do not wear glasses most of the time.

is it recommended to do with 100 degree myopia and slight astig for better distance vision?

TIA

i was about 250-300 degree and the difference now and then the vision is great difference and so much quality of life without specs.

not sure how is vision like on 100 deg but if you are already not needing to wear specs most of the time, i'd say its not a significant change in comfort etc but im pretty sure the quality of vision will be great difference between 100deg and 0 (perfect vision)

Really depends on your age and lifestyle. Of cos not wearing spec and contact lenses is really freedom.

Hi, thanks for the the above 2 replies.

To be exact, I have myopia of 75 deg on my left eye and 25 on my right with 25 deg of astig each. I am in my late twenties and my screen time per day is at least 7h and did not wear any glasses for the past 5 years.

I had went for the evaluation at clearvision with Dr Ho. He suggested to just only correct my left eye and leaving the right eye for future presbyopia.

Would it make sense to correct low eye power as such? Hope to hear more advice before I make any decision.

TIA

I just went for my consultation yesterday and I'm in the similar situation as you. Dr Ho say mine corneas are quite thick and my first test shows my eye does not have intrusion (something like that) but my second test after putting the eye drop to make the pupil bigger shows there's a slight intrusion. He said that on the surgery day will do a final test and he will advise if need to do Cross linking for my left eye. PM-ed you!
