Apparently most people here wants free int by doing nothing and don’t want lock in period. They also don’t want to educate themselves with PPF and all those than keep thinking people want to elope with their cash :s13:

Bro chiu jin hardworking keep replying all queries. Jin respect chiu!

If don't lock in can NEVER have interest. Please re-evaluate your statement.

i dont think singlife and some accounts will lock your $/deposits, but still they pay interests.......
and with just a min. amt meant to maintain the account ie not Locked to me

Locked means F.D

Interest is accrued daily basis. U will get what you leave with them based on daily balances.

My statement refers to. U put in how much. You get how much. U will get nothing if you only put in less than minimum sum required

These forumners who mock at others non stop seems to think others didn't put in a single cent nor need to lock in 24 hours and expect optimal return?

And we have no right to question our own deposits and question why our deposits are missing?

sg first S$ money ETF - locally domiciled ...so that u guys wont have to unduly worry and to rely so Much just on a singlife

not the first ETFs Philips has listed on our SGX (they have in USD too and as well as: https://phillipfunds.com/etfs/)
https://www.facebook.com/sgx.mygateway/videos/380836193085676/

closely correspond, before fees and expenses, to the performance of the FTSE SGD 3-month SOR Index.
With S$100 million in assets under management, it aims to offer fund managers and brokerage firms an additional liquidity management tool to improve the yield of their clients' cash deposits. Esp, at a time when investors are facing a "prolonged low-yield environment across international markets".

The board lot size for the ETF is 5 units. The minimum bid size is S$0.001. The ETF offers dual currency trading in Singapore Dollars (S$) and US Dollars (US$).

Quoting BBCWatcher from the ST thread:

Yes: it's currently not particularly useful. It claims to track the 3 month SOR. Let's suppose the 3 month Swap Offered Rate is 17 basis points per annum currently. (About right.) Phillip charges 10 basis points as their management fee, so you'll net about 7 basis points per year, presumably. You then have broker commissions and exchange fees in and out....

....Does this look like something you'd want to bother with?

So if I understand correctly, you'd currently get 0.07% (0.17% SOR* - 0.10% management fees) return per year... Not comparable at all with singlife account :s22:

oh maybe i read wrongly
I tot that even though it is a $ mkt ETF
its performance can still be like the hypothetical one like the one by Vangard : https://investor.vanguard.com/mutual-funds/profile/overview/vmfxx
or something like the graph : (click on performance tab)
http://www.csopasset.com/en/products/usd-money-market-etf

while i dont deny that the expected performance of $ mkt at this time may not be that rosy like in the past
