Yes I agree. Garmin is well known for their GPS and in recent years they have managed to create a niche in gps watches but too bad they haven’t manufacture watches with cellular yet.
I estimate 60-70% of people who buys garmin watches used it for running but maybe only 20-30% of people who buys Apple Watch runs.
Garmin aviator watches are professional grade quality
Oh my bro likes my series 6 so I may pass mine to him and get myself either a blue alu or a graphite if I feel rich enough. May I ask how to I transfer my Singtel cellular plan to the new watch ?
Can’t really transfer, more like removing the plan on your watch when unpairing and re-activating numbershare when pairing the new watch, which will incur a $10 activation fee. You can call Singtel to try getting it waived but it depends on the CSO.
It’s only when you change phone, then keep the plan on your watch when unpairing and during re-pairing to the new phone, it will enable back.
So when u pairing the watch, do I choose keep the plan or cancel the plan?
I think I chose keep the plan when I unpaired
When the new watch is here I just activate the plan as per normal? Thanks

The Apple Watch wasn’t primarily made for running, but more of health monitoring and connectivity emphasis. Garmin’s more of GPS and running but what I like about Garmin is basically their GPS. Sometime last year I also saw in newspaper that Garmin have a watch for aviators that costs over $3000?
For serious run forget about AW lah, just use your Garmin ... the VO2 and whatnot are not readily available thru the Garmin apps ...
Cheers![]()
actually i run 3-4x/week varying 6-10km per session. i also have went thru forerunner series until fenix. The fact is for runs only Apple watch is more than capable. For anyone using it for running, better check out this review:

Bro gt_5454,Ya I know Garmin is a better watch for running but my wife says i should be contactable during run in case of any emergency and in case I need help midway through my longer runs. So I may have to only use AW for running from now. See how it goes ... but I definitely prefer Garmin for running as the Garmin connect is solid. AW got to use fitness app, health app and Watch app very confusing haha
Totally agreed ... serious and real runners use Garmin instead of AW for tracking their runsYes I agree. Garmin is well known for their GPS and in recent years they have managed to create a niche in gps watches but too bad they haven’t manufacture watches with cellular yet.

Bro gt_5454,
We both have the same problem, that’s why we both ended up buying both Garmin and AW.
Now i sometimes (or rather alot of time), ended up wearing both when running![]()
i beg to differ. serious runners and season runners just need tracking on their run distance. most of them already can gauge their own fitness. To continuously check your heartrate only means you're unsure much about your own speed pace and fitness and not very in tune with your heartrate and breathing. You all bought too much into gimmicks.Totally agreed ... serious and real runners use Garmin instead of AW for tracking their runs![]()
No worries, you're entitled to your opinion. I have both ...i beg to differ.
Haha but what won't do is to wear the "bra" chest strapHahaha bro you damn power leh like those tech reviewer who wear AW on one wrist and Garmin on the other and they also wear chest strap HR monitor...
I have resigned to wear bothUltimately I would want to just keep one. So it’s either I use Garmin and lug my 200g iPhone XS Max with me , or use AW cellular and forego some of the stats that Garmin can provide
yahNo worries, you're entitled to your opinion. I have both ...
watchOS 7.0.2 is out.
watchOS 7.0.2 is out.
yahI had both too. been there done that.
I had 3 Forerunners to 1 x fenix. From testing polar to garmin chest belts to Mio pulse optical ant+ and bluetooth. After a while it’s just fanfare having it.
watchOS 7.0.2 is out.
Thanks for the update bro, will update mine this evening.
