Just placed my order on white series decagon.

I must say that Jannpaul really live up to its standard as what everyone says. So glad that I am reading and following this thread closely for the past year before making my decision to purchase my engagement ring with them.

Here's contributing back to all the bro and sis who has been feeding me knowledge and insights to engagement ring with Jannpaul.

Ct: 0.66-069
Colour: E-F
Clarity: VVS2-VS1
Price: $6.5k to $7.2k

Will share more details once the ring is ready for collection in 3-4months~

Second that! JP really has the standards compared to other jewellery shop...

this is the 1 i placed my order:

Ct: 0.925-0.935
Colour: F-G
Clarity: VVS2-VS1
Price: $12k to $12.5k

does anyone know if there's any good websites or FB/IG accounts to follow for ideas of the ring's setting?

Also, any thoughts on White/Yellow/Rose Gold to go with for the proposal ring?

Just went down to check out their white series line last wed, you guys are right. They’re really all crazy performing just by eyes alone. Never seen anything like them, will post what I got once my ring is finished :D Thanks bros for all the links and feedbacks, now onto the proposal plan for me :)

We're thinking of buying a gem (Paraiba Tourmaline) from starlanka.com - it's GIA certified, and the person has agreed to cash on delivery, and we will be meeting the seller's cousin. Is there anything we should be careful of?

We're thinking of bringing it to Nanyang Gem Institute to get it certified as well just to be sure. Any idea what's the cost like?

For semi precious like toumaline check for inclusions very carefully especially cracks and where they’re located. They’re especially prone to cracking chipping breaking if you’re not careful.

Sorry to bother you guys again. How much more would a ring in platinum cost as compared to white gold from JP given the exact same size and design?

Do you have the certificate and/or scope images to share?

Realistically, decagon G looks brighter than SIC D. Compare both under their GIA white light, the light return is way too intense already.

I would say go down and take a look. The first decagon I waitlisted for was a G VVS1 and it was definitely below expectations. The G was quite cloudy/milky under normal lighting. Colour G is a range, it can be closer to F or H. I rejected that diamond and re-waitlist for a better diamond but this time I specified a better colour grade.

My second diamond is an E VS1 and it's so much better! Definitely don't regret rejecting the first
