Hi I am looking to undergo lasik at EEC this month with Dr Lim Wee Kiak. Has anyone done lasik with Dr Lim? Please share your experience with me.

Appreciate if you can share your referral code too!

Don't mention it. I too was at a loss like you and it certainly didn't help when further "research" on the internet only bring up MORE horror stories. Don't read too much online, thats all I can say. Cos most people only complain about their bad reviews online and the good reviews, they are happily enjoying their lives and didn't whine about anything.

I was also quite worried back then but let your eyes take its time to heal. Eat well, rest well. I do find fish oil and eye supplements to be helpful...

Can recommend what fish oil and eye supplements you use? And the dosage per day :D

Fish Oil - I am taking the OceanHealth 1000mg, I take 2 capsules morning, 2 capsules night
Eye supplements - I finished 1 bottle of Young Living's Illumieyes. But now switched to Vitahealth Advanced Eyecare (switched cos Illumieyes is 4-5times the price of Vitahealth Advanced Eyecare)

then to add on, I cut down my alcohol intake (used to drink whisky every night) and switched to Chrysanthemum + Wolfberry Tea
Chrysanthemum - Eu Yan Sang "Tai Ju"
Wolfberry- Eu yan sang also, they got a Organic Ningxia wolfberry. damn nice and sweet

But do note, for chrysanthemum tea I drink about 4-5 times a week. Not every day please cos I dont know if everyday will cause body to be too "cooling" or not.

I just had my Intralase Lasik today at Shinagawa. It took 1.5hours but the procedure is just less than 30mins. Procedure didn't hurt at all. My eyes are still blurry after surgery but you can see and function. It cost 4k for me via credit card. No need for referral as they give discount for selected banks and even more less if paid by cash. Tomorrow I'll come back for the 1st checkup. I'll update if any progress.

Also mine was done by Dr Lee. He is very calm and reassuring. Also why does the nurses/staff at Shinagawa has such cool and calming voice? Lol I was nervous before surgery but everytime someone explains something to me it makes me calm. 🤣

Went to SNEC for lasik consultation. Was told not suited for lasik and offered ICL. The price quoted was $15-16k (both eyes). Appreciate if anyone can recommend good private clinic docs for ICL and share cost/experience if possible. Thanks!

For SNEC price, which consultant did you opt for? I was also told i'm only suitable for ICL and am looking for recommendations for ICL specialists.

So far, the quotes I got was $12k under general anesthesia (private clinic at Mount E Novena) and $8k (Dr Gerard Nah)

What the cost ICL?
My myopia is -11/-10 and astig -1/-2.
I did a test with dr Lee Hung Ming at Asia pacific eye centre due to friend recommendation and was quoted 16k for ICL.
Is this normal? If yes probably will just go with him cos he seem professional.

Hi i have similarly severe myopia -9 and astig -4 and can only do ICL

Did you went ahead with Dr Lee in the end? Is ICL for Dr Lee's clinic conducted under general or local anesthesia?

Told the doctor that my vision is still blur during post one week consultation. He said to continue putting the drops until the post one month review.

But because I heard many ppl saying their vision is good right after the op or even within post one week op. I'm getting quite worried.

Am not sure whether my vision is considered hazy?
But it's kind of blurry. And I find it difficult to focus on specific objects/words. Night vision is not that great as well. Feels like the lights are bright. Maybe thats what they call glare? But yes in summary, it's been 10 days and vision is not too good.

Is this somewhat your experience as well?
Thanks.

Hey! I’ve just had my Relex Smile (no collagen linking) done about 10 days ago at EEC. For me my left eye is still blurry with some degree and astig but right eye sees well at 20/20 now. During my post op 1 week checkup I checked with the doc on why my left eye was blurry but didn’t really get any specific answer except that my eyes are healing well and it depends on how my body heals. I was quite worried as well but I have read other accounts of varying recovery rates for people.

Just wondering did anyone here still have degree and astig post op and still managed to recover well etc? My left eye experienced suction loss towards the end of the procedure, but the doc told me still can continue cause it was towards the end. Not sure if it’s a contributing factor to the healing.

Also, hope it gets better for you too - agree with not reading too much of the horror stories online, those really don’t help. 😅 I just tell myself to be patient and not be too obsessive with checking my vision all the time.

Oh I see! Good to hear you are recovering well! Seems like without corneal strengthening, vision heals alot faster! I'm almost post 3 weeks, but vision is still blurry. It's equal on both eyes. So I'm hoping it will be better after another week.

hello! I did my SMILE at SNEC this Feb! My right eye was 10.75, so post-degree still has a degree of about 0.75 left (probably did increased in the past months) doctor did say might take some time to stabilise

Post-lasik, my eyes did experience occasionally stinging but doctor said it was normal - the eyes aren’t used to the exposure to the light yet! Just rest more and follow the medications as prescribed :)

Used to have dry eyes pre-lasik due to conjunctivitis a couple of years ago and was very heavily reliant on eye drops, post-lasik likewise just spammed eye drops haha

But now it’s recovering quite well and I barely need eye drops unless I’m in air-conditioned/dusty places for prolonged periods
