Because reviewers stress tested the battery. They watched videos and game on it. Regular users will find the battery life reasonable with simple usage like WA, Social Media and emails all.

fully agree. the weight is another bonus vs 11pro.

my two original worries were not founded

1) text and content too small to read for my ageing eyes? the text and display have been wonderful to read and sharp as well. i will say i can read equally well between 12mini and 11pro.

2) battery life worries? the battery is a non-issue for me. this morning i charge it up to 85% and unplug at 9am+. was out and about cafe hopping, and shopping. spend more time than i usually do on the phone browsing and social media stuff. and at 3.30pm it's at 65%. so while it's nowhere near 2-3 days battery life. it is very usable and will easily last a full day for most people. and if u are a gamer... what's a gamer doing with a mini phone?

Yes the battery is very manageable. Not really far off from a 11Pro

I figured it out already. It can be used with case and screen protector. But under the condition that the phone is charging. I tried.

i do not see the lock screen touch issue at all.
I went through the youtube videos.

1) the torch and camera buttons respond to only haptic touch (meaning you press and hold), in the videos they were jabbing the two buttons and say no respond. that is not how those two button is to be used
2) in lock screen, i have zero problem with the swipe up to unlock. And if wearing a mask, keying passcode. ZERO issue

again.. i am using psaj with zeelot SP. the casing cutout does not touch the power/vol+/vol- buttons.

will like to hear about the lock screen touch issues from the folks here. thus far i do not see it.

the touch tech on 12mini and 12PM is new for apple thou. rumour has it that it used samsung panels with Y-OCTA touch integrated into the display panel instead of a separate laminated layer. the tear downs thus far corresponds with this rumour. iphone 12/12 pro display has two connector and 12mini/12PM only has one (look at the display with the top speaker assembly taken out, if not it be 3 connectors for 12/12pro and 2 for 12mini/12PM).

thats why always read review with a big spoonful of salt....
most of the reviews especially the youtube ones are really low on substance.

for me i will still have brought 12mini even if it cost $100 more than 12.

i understand the benefits of pro max if that is your phone and also tablet and also computer. also if you are visually impaired and can't see well. I also understand.
But if not why will anyone buy pro max? ok... pls don't throw me off the building... peace...

Wow! That’s good to know ! Me coming from an iPhone 8, that’s really good news. But Apple iron out the kinks on the touch sensitivity issues.

i don't have issues with touch but if have.. i have 14 days or until 8 jan to return... i will call apple CS again to confirm the 8 jan return date

Kinda remember few years ago when I was using iPhone 4 and/or 5 the tone was like this as well... Unsure if this is a common issue for iPhone... Hur hur..

12 pro max Battery life so far so good. Similar usage as how I always use my 11 PM. Phone calls, WhatsApp, wechat, social media browsing, occasional photo taking, web browsing etc. This 12 PM seems to be able to last as long as my 1 year old 11 PM. FYI my 11 PM is at 89% battery health.

Probably it’s because I turn on the “5G on” function because I’m trying to test out the 5G hence it’s draining the battery a little. Another point to note is while I was using my 11 PM it’s always on dual sim, 2 phone lines active at the same time whereas my 12 PM only switch on 1 phone line as the “5G on” function doesn’t work with 2 active phone lines apparently

If you’re very concerned about the battery then I can say it shouldn’t be a problem for you to last through the day. The weight difference of 12 PM and 11 PM can be felt too, 12 PM definitely feels lighter. Screen size wise it’s still as accessible as 11 PM, not much of a difference for me.

Will test when I’m back to work to see if it can last me through a normal working day. My 11 PM can’t last me through and will need to charge before I leave office.

Yes, I personally think that the lock sound is kind of soft, keyboard tone is ok. Turning on all the setting still the same

bro are you able to set a passcode, lock yr phone and wait 1min than try to unlock?

i am getting the above issue and resetting does not solve it

there is a 1 sec delay after keying the passcode before the phone unlocks

Mine turned off already. My keylock sound quite cartoon. Sometimes no sound, sometimes damn soft, other times loud until machiam scared other people dunno I lock my phone. Lol
