anyone iphone 12 pro max need to charge more than 2 hours? notice the 12 pro max seem like dont have fast charging? try both apple original 18w and 20w charger from 45% to 100% need to charge more 2 hours.
previous iphone X and 11 pro max was within an hours or less from 40 plus to 100

U had your 12PM since launch day 13/11? I noticed my initial charging was slow too. Thereafter few days later on the 3rd charge onwards it’s about an hour from 50% to 100%. If it’s from below 10%-100% it’s about 90mins.

Apple original PD 20w charger with original usbc to lightning cable.

I thought my 18w original apple charger was spoil so went to get a 20w charger still the same ...but i test on iphone 11 pro max was ok..

Has it got to do with the optimise charging setting?

the phone will charge at higher voltage up to 80% battery and switch to 5v until the battery is fully charged. this is why the phone charges slower when approaching 100%

Oh Day 3 only. Yup what spidercyj bro said is right. Should be optimised charging still at work. It could be still your 2nd charge yet, on Day 3? Monitor 1 week and see how bro.

Most of us here, by tomorrow 27/11 would be our 14th day of usage for our 12PM. The machine has learnt our usage and drainage pattern.

On paper specs from what I recall seeing a YouTube video: 0 to 100% charge on 12PM on their official 20w charger should take around 90mins. So we do the math. 50 to 100% should take around 45mins only.

The post above u is correct. It will be fast speed till 80% and slow charging from 80-100%. I read the same somewhere before.

sane here. only like the chassis because it resembles my first Apple product: iphone4. otherwise, i am happy with my 11pro max.

Charging from 50 to 100% will take longer than charging from 0-50%.

Apple iPhones are capable of fast charging a phone from 0-50% in 30mins. It’s more likely that the remaining charge from 50 to 100% will take approximately an hour.

Yeah, your math works out to be the same as mine. Total 90mins. I understand about the trickle charge when it’s closer to 100%.

But his 12PM is bought on day 3, 15/11. Till now it’s 11 days. Can’t be from 40 to 100% take more than 120mins on a 20w original Apple Power Delivery Charge.

Something is wrong, somewhere.

Do you deplete the battery of your 12PM from 100 to 40% everyday since 15/11 when you got your phone bro?

Or you have another secondary phone and you’re using you’re 12PM sparingly.
From 15/11 to today 26/11, already 11 days. It would have learnt about your charging habits. Don’t turn the optimised charging off. Leave it on.

For me I charge as and when I like it. 20-100. 67-100. 40-100. Most of the time it’s always until 100. The charging timing is about right for me, be it any algorithm match. But never more than 2 hours for a 40-100% charge.

If{
0-50=30mins;
0-40=24mins;
0-100=90mins;
50-100=60mins;
Then
40-100=60+6=66mins+-
Endif
}

Hi guys. Went down to the apple store earlier to have my units check. Technician did acknowledge the defect I was referring to. Manage to get a replacement for both units.

Just to check, did you have to book an appointment or just walk in will do?
And did they exchange a brand new phone with box and accessories?

I think mine is also having this problem, initially i thought it was the glue from the screen, until i saw your post

Here're my 11 Pro Max and 12 Pro Max in comparison. The 12 Pro Max is slightly taller. Both phones are in Apple's leather cases.

Picture won’t be very obvious too...but it’s at the top left side of your phone above the mute slider. Between the stainless steel case and the display there is a small gap, under centain angle with a bright light source you will be able to see it

Oh, if it’s visible to the eyes, then the gap must be quite big.

anyone has this problem where the internet seems to work fine(safari,Reddit), but certain parts of the system such as AppStore does not work(updates, downloads). And have to do a hard reboot. Mine seems to be occurring every 2/3 days
