i'm using 4a 5G and the reason why is the size of the phone as i came from 4XL.

You should ask yourself:
- do you need the "extra" bump-up paper specs compare to 4a.
- would you willing to fork up almost 2x of 4a price?.
- sacrificed no local warranty?

Just a heads-up; 5G not support by telco for Pixel 5G 2020 lineup as they are not official sold here.

I just changed from s10 to 4a and I find the screen small, hence was toying with the idea of spending that $250 more for the additional 0.4" screen size.

Amazon US selling it for us$459 now. After conversion is s$626. Add vpost shipping and gst is about $700.

Haha, I'm the opposite. Went from 6.5 inch phone to pixel 4a and loving the compact size. My only complaint is that no ultrawide on 4a.
