tried looking for job for half year, cant get.almost given up.hope

your situation just does not look fantastic. when i was 44, my sa had a larger sum than you. it means that my salary is higher than yours.

i intend to work till at least 60 to be really comfortable with my retirement.

i understand that at this age, it is not easy to find a new full time job that pays well. you should try hard to continue to find. you will not have a very comfortable retirement if you do so now.

there many training programmes at the ihls. these programmes pay you an allowance while under training (maybe 2k a month). after the training, the company can decide whether to employ you or not. company is more willing to sign you up on the training programme because they can ditch you if you are lousy and it is heavily subsidized by garmen. and during the training period, you better fight for your life.

Thanks, house not fully paid yet, left around 200k.

why ur house so expensive ? are u married

if u are single maybe just sell ur current house and downgrade to a 2room or somethig for just 100k, then u have extra 200-300k again (just by not having to pay the 200k loan).

if u are married then definitely u cant think about stopping work now lol.

Well, basically you can find a job 1. We have people finding job for 2 years. I did freelance for 2 years surviving on bare necessity. Any job (even safe distancing ambassador) can be considered temporary what. Not asling you to be cleaner or security (but even them, they are an honest living).

If its face or other issues, honestly nobody can help.

Yes I know, very desperate haiz. I will try to look up for those training program. Thanks for the advice. Cashwise, I have around 100k cash in the bank. I have never invested those before they're just my buffer in times like this and afraid to put it into any sort of investment.

You need to survive on 100k/11 years which is $9000 a year or $757 per month until you reach 55. That's very tight and you got spouse and children? Before doing anything to CPF, you need to get a job or do some freelance work to cover your living expenses. Settle your life before planning your CPF. How you handle your CPF depend on your financial situation.

guys, i am exploring different calculators, i tot https://geek.sg/tools/cpf-forecast/ was good but i found that it did not cap the cpf contribution to 6k and along the way have flaws... any other similar good calculators?

Apparently it does cap at 6k.

Code:
export const salaryContribution = (salary: number, age = 0): Account => {
  const eligibleSalary = Math.min(6000, salary);
  return uncappedSalaryContribution(eligibleSalary, age);
};

ur wife nv nag u ? r u prepared to withstand her nagging till 55 years old

All those investment bloggers should use this line to publicise their courses.

"Adam Kool investment course! Poor today? Be financially free tomorrow!
Your wife never nag you? Are you prepared to withstand her nagging till 55 years old? Be financially free tomorrow, now!"

nope, thats dumb, because it restricts their audience and targets to only married guys. what about singles and married females , they lose out on so much more they could have earned from.

want to refund 200k back in to cpf by using my cash put back.

Then eventually can i use this 200k to pay for the same house loan? Or once i refund this amount it will.be locked up?

Plan to put 200k inside earn interest, then when interest goes too high for my bank loan, i will redemn entire loan. So just wanna check can use the 200k?
Is this a good strategy?
