Finally collected my decagon ring!! Preordered my decagon diamond from Jannpaul afew months back. It took almost 2 months for them to custom cut it out and another month to craft the ring. Diamond is a 0.52 G VVS2 (originally meant to be F-G, VS1-VS2 range). I benefitted for the higher clarity as they capped the cost to a VS1 clarity. So I kinda got a free clarity upgrade :D

Thank you all for the recommendations, the wait was worthwhile, their service has been excellent but I think everyone knows that already from the past threads. At least my proposal plan now will work with phase 3 opening up so decided to finally collect my ring; heres my review thus far:

Their white series collection are all significantly brighter and firey than even their SIC. Price wise IMO is extremely worth the trade-off. It's damn sparkly at all angles man. I brought the ring to different places with different types of lights. The decagon lives up to its name and sparkles away. Whenever I move the diamond ring abit or my head angle, it will have alot of those on/off bling effect. I don't have a creative mind and chose one of JP's ring design I found on their instagram in their petite series. The small diamonds on the bands are decagon cuts too and they're all cut like wins as well (I have an ASET without the backing if anyone wishes to borrow). You need to face up towards the light or use your handphone as the backlight.

I've brought my ring around to various jewelry shops, mostly all around in Ion and in each shop it really just outshines everything I walked past. The decagon small diamonds were a big surpriser compared to what shops have as small diamonds. They sparkle as much as my main piece and completes the ring well

Another thing I noticed is the workmanship as my eyes can tell is extremely symmetrical vs even big brands. Big thumbs up to JP! Was serviced by 3 people from JP; Chloe, Eugene and Avery.Anyway, here's a video of my ring under sunlight taken from a camera phone. Good luck to everyone else there and my findings to help you out.

P.S. My decagon is a G color and like the rest of the other bros said, their white series G Color still looks very white. For those who are thinking of the G color too, you can see my video for ref.

Your ring looks amazing under the sun!! I'm so tempted to upgrade my SIC to their White Series. I just got my diamond early last year and couldn't wait for their new cuts. Mind sharing the cost of your diamond?

I see some mentioning custom cut diamonds. Is it normal to ask for a custom cut diamond? Do they charge a premium?

Thanks! Their white series is really damn bling. You should see it yourself. The price depends on white white series you getting. The decagon and round 10 hearts/arrows is abt 5-10% more than the SIC, while the Cushion and Oval hearts/arrows is cheaper than the SIC. Any of these cuts will all outperform the SIC anyway and I really think you don't need to go for such a high color for them since they are exceed the SIC's brightness.

It's just see whether they have the stock of the diamond you want. Alot of their white series are all reserved already and got not much options left. They allow you to custom cut the spec range you want. No extra cost in this but just takes a longer time. So see if you need your ring sooner anot. They will give an estimated spec and price range and will cap at the amount. Like mine was suppose to be a VS1-VS2, but turned out to be a VVS2. So I got lucky with free clarity upgrade for a VS1 price :D

Can anyone advise, I've seen some of the asset scopes of people's diamond and realise that some of them are green and some are red in the centre. Does it matter?

curious, if the green represent weaker light return doesn't it mean it might look more dull in the middle?

A stone is never static. It’s also a reflection
But if it bothers u then u will need to find a pavilion angle above 40.76 for it to be red
Below that angle and it’s green.

Congratulations! Please post a photo of your ring! What did you get? I think you have to ask for them. I went down to view my diamond and saw it through the ASET scope, but they didn't send me photos or screenshots. I had no idea what I was looking for anyway... so just said OK to the diamond haha

Is yours a white series? I know their custom cuts can take a longer time to get the scope images. Or you can try asking them to expedite it.. it might help.*

Hi everyone, i just received my order for Decagon White series from JP. Can any of y’all help to give your opinion if this diamond is worth the purchase of 3.6k? Appreciate all the help I can get especially cos I noticed quite a few inclusions. I also understand that White Series are “best of the best” but I’m just worried about the inclusions.

The inclusions u see are from the clarity plot diagram right? Those will only show the location and not the severity. I know JP already filter their VS2s to be eye clean and yours is a VS1. And they don’t take into those surface inclusions either. If you want to be sure, you can try asking them to show you the diamond with the magnification loupe to try see the inclusions. Their white series is the best of best in all aspects liao
