Exploring AF as new gym as I just left FF. Any intel on how crowded AF Northpoint is, especially the deadlift platforms on weekday evenings? Those already with AF Northpoint, was the price worth it?

For Energy one, are there other additional fees like registration fees, etc? Or really just nett price of $515 for 12 months? TIA!.

Thinking of energyone vs AF
Energyone got offer now $515 for 12 mths, joining fee waived
I'm also a HCW so AF is $85/mth
any comments between these two?

Am also keen to know how how AF and FF and Energyone compare with one another.

Only been inside on weekday afternoons. It's quite PL-centric, so there are plenty of platforms, squat racks and bars to go around, since it's open by Tony who was the boss of TGN. There are platforms and bumpers, but still no dumping of weights.

Very big outlet, but gets crowded on weekends. I often see a queue on Saturday evenings.

hey you and me buddy. let this be a warning for potential new FF members. we customers paid a premium for the facilities and even though COVID was unexpected, no customer recovery was done by them. we are still paying the SAME prices pre-COVID with added inconveniences i.e. sauna, classes, capacity. i felt cheated. i gave a 100% of my $ every month and they conveniently backed out of their agreement and gave lesser than what was agreed upon.

if a company is not customer-centric or does not empathize with their customers, they do not deserve my $.

I’m currently holding on to a FF and AF member. I guess AF would really depends on how much the owner wanna invest in the gym. personally. I felt that AF member are more genuine into exercise while FF seems like a place where people just go to make friends.

For FF, I think different branch different culture. There is definitely a fair amount of socialising. But in places like AMK FF, you see the uncles aunties talk talk laugh laugh before classes, when they do bodypump or circuit classes, are all jin satki. Many of them fit enough to do back to back classes. Like after bodypump rest a while go do combat.

A bro in my current gym told me Northpoint AF evening many Powerlifters come in group so can be quite hard for loner like me to wait for the platforms. Tell me don’t sign

Can check out a few AF branches like Seng Kang Hospital and Harbourfront. They got deadlift platforms with bumper plates and not super crowded with powerlifting cliques.

Is AF so cheap that young poly kids also subscribe and join ah?

I purposely went to a further ulu branch in the wee hours (cause I dont really want to wait for machines) but always see a few dudes come in, put their towels on the benches, then start to chat, then go some machines then come back.... rolls eyes

This is why I left AF. Partly the gym was very small and its maintenance was quite bad as well.

Anyone visits the Upper Cross Street (Chinatown) outlet during weekday lunch times? Can advise if there’s any waiting times to enter the club due to full capacity?
