Wahlao...Sian to the max. I just recently helped my mum to port over and now this promotion...should have waited about longer...but then again after 6mths back to the 9.98 or 12+?

I interpret as :
- 1st mth 9.98
- 2nd to 7th mth 8.50
- 8th to 12th mth 9.98
- after 12 mths 12.98
-

Oh btw, Vivifi does not have missed call alert/SMS.

So if someone calls you while your phone is switched off/no signal, you won't receive any notification regarding the missed call when you are back online.

How fast can port over? Same day apply can collect?

Port over applies on working day and must be b4 6.30pm. if not it will be next working day.(but I tried my mum's number over the midnight yet it still on temp phone till I wake up next morning and it is port over which shows my mum's number.

Yes you can collect on the same day you applied so long you have the order number.

Miss call alerts I'm only aware that MyRepublic Mobile provide this VAS for free.

Other MVNO don't normally provide free voicemail and SMS notification on miss call alerts.

How fast can port over? Same day apply can collect?

I use myself as example:


  1. Submitted new service request to Vivifi around 3pm on 4 Feb 2021
  2. Also submitted mobile number porting request to Vivifi at the same time
  3. Got a bunch of emails around the same time notifying me of my porting submission
  4. Around 10.30pm+ on the same day, I got the email that my SIM card is ready for collection/delivery
  5. Collected SIM card on 5 Feb 2021
  6. Not sure if the porting will happen tonight or on Monday night *Update: According to the Vivifi guy that I collected the SIM card from, the porting will start tonight at 11pm*

Without number 4, you cannot collect the SIM card. Without the collection of SIM card, there is no service activation. Without service activation & number 2, porting will not happen with your previous mobile service provider.

My guess is, if you submit the porting request early in the morning, there is a possibility that you can collect the SIM card on the same day. However, that is provided they process your request and sent you the "your SIM card is ready for collection/delivery" email on the same day and you can drop in at a collection point for that day.

Any idea if it is possible to receive SMS while roaming?

last year i emailed to vivifi asking how to receive otp sms when overseas. here was their email reply :

You have global roaming turned on already. This is the option to get a mobile signal when you are travelling.

You can turn on your mobile and connect to a telco. Once you get a mobile signal, you will be able to receive sms.

global roaming is free and default turn on. you get charged when you use it, just like singtel pay as you roam.

but i cannot comment on actual usage of this until i can start travelling again, probably at least another year or more. cheers.

I was also sian when I saw this but then again I signed up for Lite and not Plus. As I don need that much data per month.

So just difference of 30c per month. Just accept it. :s22::(=:p

For Vivifi users, how is the managed unlimited data (after using up the plan) for watching YouTube? Is it still acceptable?

MyRepublic 384kbps can watch 240/360p videos how about vivifi’s 256kbps?

Hmm... Like quite a lot of folks in this thread, my first mobile number porting request failed. Odd.

Will resubmit again.

*Update: Just discovered that after you collected the SIM card, you must activate it as well. Seems like this could be the issue for my porting failure as I didn't activate the Vivifi SIM card after getting it. I didn't put it into my phone after getting it until this morning...*

on 1st every mth the data allocation is reverted back to 6gb. So last day of the mth the play with using up all the data allocation to test.

I guess porting out would be last day of the mth. Best for self collection, you can time the day of activation of new line

What are the options to pay Vivify bills expect from the app? Can it be paid online, via SAM/AXS machines?

I think vivifi pro rate on 1st bill then charge every 1st of the month. So if want to port out, do it at the end of the month regardless of when your initial start date.
