Hi all, i would like to personally recommend my private driving instructor Loh Lian Choon. I just pass my class 3a license under him and i can say he is not just good or legitimate driving instructor but you really get what you pay for when you take his lessons.
During his lessons he won’t scold you unless u make a serious mistake like hitting curb many time or when you know you gonna hit the curb and still hit, changing lanes and not looking out for vehicles etc (i mean all driving instructors rely on their car for their income what, naturally they will scold you one). He will correct your every mistake and explain to you. He will teach all you need to know about the different routes that are tested.
In circuit, he also point out what to watch out for and how to do each course whereby guaranteed you will never go wrong (if u still hit curb after all the practice then its your problem alr). He will let you take a pic of the circuit he draw out as well so you can revise.
He only teach in mandarin and pick up at Serangoon or Eunos MRT only. He charge around $60 for his lessons, exp maybe but hey you get what you pay for. He will make sure to not only teach you to pass but also will give you many useful tips on driving on the road etc (he really hates reckless drivers, so you understand why he doing this). He give good tips on overtaking vehicles or changing lanes which is more practical than what is tested on driving test.

just passed my tp last tuesday, had a very strict but good instructor. Mr Soon (pm me if u wan his contact)

he will scold u if u nv do well but tat is for your own good also, cuz will surely improve if kana scold.. lol..
he is nv late for my lesson and always will drive to my house area to pick me up.. (given that u stay around sengkang punggol)
if u dun mind a good reliable driving instructor that will scold u for your own good, he is a very good instructor. =)

Hello Guys I am looking for Class 3A private instructors. I am generally looking to take like maximum 15-20 lessons before my tp tests so it would be greatly helpful like if any of you can recommend a good PDI that doesn't drag out lessons as I have already changed my instructor once... which was an asshole do PM me if you have any recommendation~

saw this thread while actually googling my instructor's name out of curiosity..

i just passed my tp first attempt thanks to the help of my very awesome instructor, uncle Gordon at CDC. Drives a manual silver nissan sunny but think he changing car to the new manual almera soon.. charges 32/hr and only charge 220 for car rental and insurance for tp excluding warmup lessons.. super nice and friendly uncle, provides many insights and pinpoints my weaknesses and bad habits due to illegal driving experience in malaysia fixes them and gives enough lessons to be familiar with what we're supposed to do for the test.. he's quite chatty or can be quiet depending on how u prefer (always talk nonsense with him while driving cos boring ma) and very respectful of time.. always reaches the coffee house just beside cdc 3 mins before ur lesson starts but always has to take a pee before starting (people old liao..). But because he is very good, usually his schedule very busy so have to book him arnd 2 months beforehand so he can schedule ur slots.. and he schedules ur lessons in a very systematic way. although he might be flipping through his diary and answering texts from students while u're driving, he never fails to guide u through where you're going and somehow manages to pay attention to what you're doing.. he is also fluent in both english and mandarin so no worries about that.. many more good points about him, one of the best if not best instructor that's around.. really grateful i could pass in 1 attempt. can pm me for his number.

Then I realized the annoying trend of him ending my lessons 8~10 min before the ending time, EVERY LESSON as well. So I'll literally park the vehicle around the multi-storey car park area opposite Admiralty MRT, and still have 10 min to spare. And it isn't for him to teach me verbally/theory. He literally waits for me to leave the vehicle. Again, I didn't make much of a fuss, as I'd say that's pretty minor, and forgivable.

This man, really ****ed up. After experiencing 2 lessons with him, then I realised I can come google his number. Should've taken note of this when I was first given his number.

Price now $65/1.5hr. First lesson I forgot to withdraw, he took his time to arrange schedule everything then I had to go withdraw. 30mins given to him for free.

Second Lesson even better, he asked me to come down earlier for lesson. I thought not bad ah, end up he need to rush off somewhere. Only took 1hr for lesson, say will compensate but Whatsapp him dont know how to reply one. Never even teach anything, everything I do is from army's driving. He just sit there get money, whenever he talk is about his life, not about driving.

Both lessons also same grandfather story, mumble some **** in chinese althought I'm chinese I not very good. But he keep mumble and ALWAYS bring to coffee shop don't know for ****. Don't know I pay for lesson or wise uncle wisdom.


If anyone got contact for SSDC, please share with me. Wasting my $325 on him for 5 lessons, 3 more to go
