Anyone has clearvision referral?

Don't think you actually need a name, I just ticked friend/family referral in the registration form and mentioned once "my friend say come here" to the doc and they automatically applied the $120 discount for me during pricing consultation

Which clinic has that and is good at it.
Is the risk higher or lower, etc.
Easier to be eligible for it?
Reversible?

Most clinics do have it actually. I am actually surprised to hear that EEC still uses the old ICL. Yeah it's reversible.

Hi guys
I was not eligible for lasik :( so now I’m considering ICL. My eyesight is very bad.

it seems most people here went to eagle eye Centre with Dr Yeo or Julian Theng? Can I know what’s the budget? (However I’d like to avoid Julian Theng if possible.)
I also emailed EEC to check but they didn’t get back to me.

any other clinics to recommend for ICL? Has anyone been to Natasha Lim?

Too long a wait?

My personal view - for ICL, pick the surgeon more experienced with ICL. You rely almost entirely on their skill and experience to determine what suits you, cutting your eyeballs, positioning the lens the right way (toric lenses in particular). lasik is heavily supported by the programme in the machine, especially for flapless surgeries.

My 2 cents (or worth less, since I did not get much of a choice between both options and had to go for ICL).

Hi guys,

Did a pre lasik assessment at EEC. Was informed that my cornea thickness was at borderline. I’m with high myopia (775) for both eyes. Dr lim first recommendation was ICL as his preferred choice, followed by TransPRK with KXL. I’m more incline towards TransPRK, however it will leave me with around 307 to 318 micron (i think based on removing 24 micron per diopter) for my cornea thickness, which was advised that there is left with no thickness for improvement and a slight risk of cornea ectasia. I’m worried of cornea ectasia complication will lead to many other thing, or worse case blind and require cornea transplant.

Anyone with also with thin cornea but still doing fine with no issue? Read up saying chance of cornea ectasia happening is very rare, but if it happens, it will be a nightmare. In a dilemma should i proceed witht the surgery in a few days time or continue wearing contact lens/ spec.

Hey, did you go to other shops to seek 2nd opinion?

I did mine at Shinagawa, great so far, around 5 months already.

Didn’t. Cause i schedule my surgery date long ago. Still thinking if i should go for second opinion before the surgery or just trust my doc and proceed with the surgery.

Ok! If you're confident with this doc, just go ahead as it's their professional opinion.

*I dont think I have thin cornea, so can't comment much.

Wish you all the best and later, speedy recovery!
