Hello guys, i am not sure if this has been discussed before. But today, i tried using my iphone 12 pro max to take a close up shot for the first time and shockingly, i realise it doesnt focus upon close-up.
I tried with samsung, regular ip12, both can achieve much better focus on close-up. Called apple support, they ask me force restart, update IOS version. Still doesnt improve anything.

Any guru can point me to the right direction??
Hardware knowledge: This is common on a camera sensor with a larger sensor, this will also happen on every DSLR/Mirrorless camera because they using large sensors too.
Yes, other phone manufactures also using camera sensors that larger than iPhone 12 Pro Max, but they provide "auto-switch" Marco Mode for users to solve this issue.
If you worry about it, try to use its telephoto lens to take close up photo, because the telephoto lens on iPhone 12 Pro Max using the same sensor size as the previous generation iPhones.

Don't be so perseverant on battery health, no hardware can last 100% forever.
Almost 3 months drop 2% already not bad what? Drop about 16% in 2 years
My batt at 100% lifespan lasted for 6 months after purchase, then suddenly drop to 96% over the last 2 months....

And I'm not a heavy user....sigh

Had my iPhone 12 since around Christmas last year and now it dropped to 97% battery capacity. The drop from 99% to 97% like within a month

Haha hopefully the next ios will be better. Recently gotten my 12 pro max via ST.

But both 14.5.1 and 14.6… the drain is real. 11 pro max with 14.4 still going on strong ><

You can’t tell the difference unless you’re downloading a very large file. Or playing some latency based games.

Finally got time to play around. Fortunately got signal at my own home... getting consistent 400+

Like what Petpet has mentioned... feels like, normal wifi lol. When I have time to go city area to test... hopefully can reach more than 1000+ for cheap thrill sake haha.
