Smlj he talking, there has been no dining in for the past 1mth.
Just becos the cluster happened in the hawker/market, doesnt mean it's due to dine in.
Can be virus found in the food, in the toilet, in the money.
Let's ban all money!

haha

haha.. what he say can be done meh? So textbook answer and can work out in actual meh?

how to test entire population in days? I don’t think we have the capacity.. If can, we can simply do a reset already and be COVID free??
They don't even have the ability to test everybody once. Tests all free one ah? If Dr. Leong pays for them from his own pockets, I'll do it.

Dr Leong Hoe Nam said the spread of Covid-19 in an open-air environment like the Bukit Merah hawker centre is alarming.

Dr Leong believes dining in may have to be put on hold unless the country is prepared to take drastic, large-scale measures, such as requiring all residents to go through antigen testing once every few days, or setting up antigen testing and Covid-19 breathalyser systems at all malls and food centres.

hello Dr LEong... the bt merah cluster occured 1 month after dinning in was banned... please stop your silly agenda to stop people dinning out...

I suspect Dr Leong or his friend is selling antigen test kit or something?

Dr Leong Hoe Nam, an infectious diseases specialist at Mount Elizabeth Novena Hospital, said the spread of Covid-19 in an open-air environment like the Bukit Merah hawker centre is alarming.

"What the US Centres for Disease Control and Prevention and we have been saying is that ventilation helps (reduce the spread of Covid-19). In terms of outdoor dining and preparation of food, it doesn't get better than a hawker centre - but yet we succumbed to many cases," he noted.

This means that there could be risks if Singapore returns fully to dining in, including in air-conditioned settings, he said.

Dr Leong believes dining in may have to be put on hold unless the country is prepared to take drastic, large-scale measures, such as requiring all residents to go through antigen testing once every few days, or setting up antigen testing and Covid-19 breathalyser systems at all malls and food centres.

in order to dine out for family of 5, have to spend $100 on testing? Siao Bo??

all for a disease with 2.8% fatality world wide and 0.05% in SG...... I think there is a serious need to get real... think about why there is a need to do all these things when the vast majority (especially after vaccinations) are asymptomatic or mild symptoms....

Death is the inevitable result of Life, believe it or not.....

A 2.8% mortality rate is not trival especially if the virus is infectious.
